Hi, I'm wondering what the difference is between 3dExchange 4 and 5? I currently have the Pro version of 3dExchange 4. I noticed that in version 5 you can smooth out the wheels, can you do that in version 4? I haven't made any cars.

Cheers.

Hello,

Big Difference! 3dx 4 requires a certain bone structure to import!
3dx 5 allows you to characterise the model by mapping it bones structure.

This means "Nearly" Any Bone-Skinned mesh (Anatomically Correct) will import!
Auto Mapping Templates for Daz, Max and a few others!

3dx 5 comes in 3 versions. Standard, Pro and PipeLine!

The pipeline version will allow you to not only import but Export
iClone Animations. The Facial Animation feature is soon to be released!

Pro version allows importing of characters, props and Facial Animation!

Standard is uh... just standard. severly limited!

Also: 3dsxch 4 HAS SMOOTHING!Wink

To answer your question regarding smoothing wheels - or other curved/round objects - using 3DXchange 4 Pro. Yes you can, it's been available since ver.1.

Here's a screen shot;

Hope this helps.
