hi Bruce, for the SecondLife Machinima Community it would be great, to bring SecondLife Avatars in iClone on an easy way. So in iClone could be used the same avatars. Here I have written, how you can import them, but every bone must be set until now. Greetings Tesira

Poser characters (in as far as they are different from DAZ). I now have Poser 2012 (just need to install it... ), and it would be nice to use that with iClone. Of course it would need FBX export, does Poser have that?

The Poser import was talked about in this thread. Not sure if it covers Poser 2012 though.

This 3DS max wont give me the option in 3DXChange 5 to convert to character,why? Is there a pipeline or program to convert any obj character to use in iclone 5 beside cloneboning? Thanks Tim

Thanks TimIf you break that model down into SUB-Objects that can be applied as shown in this clip by Reallusion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnlfTLhReMo Then you should be able to accomplish what you want. Pay particular attention to the steps and the hierarchy. You can always have someone skin the character for you or you can give this method a try. Just know that Sub-Objects inside 3DXchange can consist of more than one component. Minimum Items to get a Green Light in 3DXchange5: Head Spine - Abdomen Arms - Upper and Lower + Hands Hips / Pelvis Legs - Upper and Lower + Feet It won't be as smooth using the above method as it would as a boned/skinned character, but it will function using iClone motions and modifications you apply to them. Just break it down and set it up right the 1st time, and you won't have to spend a whole lot of time going back and forth in 3DXchange and iClone.

PRI second this one. I would really like to use all the Michael 4 and Victoria 4 stuff I already have, rather than having to buy the Genesis characters as well.

Can a completed OBJ character be converted to bone skin model for mapping bones Edit: you can apply single bones to an Obj in blender, but I have never tried to animate it. You can also imPort as obj and export as fbx.

Yesterday I thought of 1) a horse - and only other ideas coming to me now are: Some gametype simpleton preset for background filler for a 500 poly (could make those myself) and 2) A ropish straight line (upwards) and a snake - both with facial. (You can call them Crazy Head/Crazy Rope preset and Snake).
