It would be great to have more standard motions coming with the next release of iclone - i. e. shaking hands, kissing good bye, hugging, taking a cup, opening a window/door, waving good bye.

I also would like to have special face effects like blushing, laughing, shouting or maybe crying with tears or giggling etc.

I agree that all these requests would be very valuable, but in the meantime, can you please work on smiling.

Smiling doesn't work well in either iClone or CrazyTalk. . . and it's so important!

Absolutely! More ordinary motions please, never mind all the magician stuff etc. Kissing, drinking, eating and many many more. As for the facial expressions - I am not impressed.

Yes, it true! The integration of Crazy Talk in IClone is far from perfect. We need more facial expressions and a tutorial to generate our own facial animations.

@ Bran

We will release some free motions for the IClone community, and later maybe an Motion Pack for small $$.

Good idea. I would like more objects with built-in interaction/motion like...

Windows/doors/closet/drawers with Open/Close when we click on the "knobs".

Cups/utencils/stationaries with Hold/Lift interactions when clicked on.

I agree. Smiling may sound like a very basic face expression, but as is, making the avatar grin or smile the way I want is a tough job, because:

1. IClone3 and CrazyTalk5 are both great programs on their own but they do not work well together. IC3 uses 3D skeleton head, CT5 uses 2D half face with limited X/Y/Z dimensional control. This means constant editing mismatch and unnecessary workload for IClone users.

2. IClone avatars have different mouth shapes and lip dimension. The result is, the same "smile" (both custom AND preset) turns out drastically different on different IClone avatars. This causes even more clipping/mismatch problem, more tweaking, and unnecessary workload. This applies all other IClone preset expressions.

The issue should be overcome if we have full facial expression editing system BUILT-IN entirely within IClone.

3. A current, albeit temporal workaround is adjusting the avatar's facial feature to fit a smile or other expressions (sounds desperate I know but just to show that I did try to push the current version's limit as far as I could). Yet still, the serious lack of facial features editor controls mean this route is equally futile, at the moment.

I reckon adding more controls in Facial Feature Editor could also help improve facial expression editing, not to mention more distinct and diverse set of actors.

I have addressed this facial expression issue extensively in an earlier thread

Full facial puppeteering is now built into iClone4 just as it is in Crazytalk.
