| Since it appears that CT 5.0 won't be out for the next six months, I have a few more suggestions to improve it.
One thing that would really help would be some sort of "Basic Face Layer" that could be set at the start of a script and then the other facial expressions would layer on top of this. This is similar to the way the phoneme track works -- you can set your character to a smile and the phonemes work with the smile as an additional layer.
There are lots of times I'd like to change the basic structure of a character to start, with say a squinty eye, or snarling lip, but still be able to put other facial expressions like a smile or frown on top of this. Short of editing each and every expression this is currently impossible.
It would make such things as a sleepy smile (just close the eyes down somewhat to a sleepy position and then put your smile on top of that) easy to do -- these expressions could be further saved for even more possibilities. |
