I think it unlikely that G3 CloneCloth will also be interchangable with G2 CloneCloth. G3 CloneCloth will use a G3 mesh as the base and maintain the lower polycount and bone structure of the new models. Making it match G2 would in effect make it G2 CloneCloth which defeats the object as we have that already.

I for one am hanging for the release of Clonecloth for G3 characters.My main character needed to be an G3 character so I could customise the body to resemble the person it is based on. G2 character bodies aren't nearly customisable enough. Now my G3 character needs wardrobe if I am to continue with my production!!Bring on the new Clonecloth!!

I believe iclone3 should be a complete package unto itself that can stand alone without having to backgrade or involve other programs:D

David, you raised an excellent point in this discussion. I was wondering myself about the G3 characters to date. While they have some great new characteristics, they do seem less "real" and more "cartoon-like".

I haven't totally got my head around Iclone 3 yet, and I certainly think it has some amazing and improved functions..but the characters do seem less real. I am curious as to why that is and if that is just temporary until there is more development.

With all due respect, that shouldn't keep the rest of us from having G3 clone cloth for at least 1 male and 1 female. For me, it's a minimum expectation to have with the purchase of a new product. My expectation is to work within the product I purchased and not rely on other products, or previous versions. You skills are excellent - mine are minimal, but yet, I want to spend $$ and enjoy the same tool :Wow:

G3 are game like character, with low poly mesh but there are less realistic than G2 ones. There aren't an evolution of G2.
Sincerely I prefer G2 characters because there are more human like.
Reallusion should develop also better the G2 characters which looks like Poser ones.
G3 for games like video and G2 with CloneCloth for ultra realistic videos and movie...

I am pretty sure G3 clone cloth will be flexy cloth, G2 clone cloth can't match that. :D I've purchased G2 clone cloth, I love it, but I still want the upgrade.:crazy:

No need to resist :D I'm fully aware of the g2 jack and jane CloneCloth and I had already purchased some time back the jack overcoat. Yes, they still work on G2 characters within G3, but they do not interchange with my G3 characters. I agree and I am delighted it is backwards compatible with G2 - but I want to use all the beautiful characteristics of G3 and clothe them properly! Sometimes us Mom's gotta spank you kiddos, but just once in a while :hehe: I no longer have any interest in purchasing anything for 2.5 or G2 - I'm forward thinking for G3 with my dollars and I hope my wait will be short :)Hugs and thank you for your comments re this issue. but you mean you cannot use the jane casual? granted it is pants only at the moment -

but in retrospect, rather than a casual jane, they should have included a jane clone gown so you can make dresses, gowns, coats etc..

This issue could easily turn iclone 3 into an also-ran for me and not my main machinima product.

hi mother (i feel compelled to call you mom, but resisted the urge:D), you did know you have jack and jane clone cloth casual right? It is G2 but whether G2 or G3 is irrelevant (unless you plan to have multiple characters in a scene where a low poly G3 CC might help) because you can cloth them, costume them and use them with most of the other features of IC3

IC3 brings a ton of good things - just the lighting control and animated texture maps alone opens up the quality of machinima made with Iclone - i actually love that it works with IC 2 clone cloth since there are a ton of IC2 characters around.

for me the biggest mileage i got from clone cloth was getting the overcoat and body suit for males, jane clone gown for females - if you're on a tight budget, just start with those and you will find a lot of costumes using those clone cloths

As a humble iClone user, I shoud not have to use other products outside iclone to make the iclone product I purchased work - I also, since I came on board with 2.5 - had an expectation that there would be a minimum of jack & jane type clone cloth as part of the resource pack - 2 nudes (1 male and 1 female) had been provided - perhaps the clone cloth can be made to dress them? By having a basic tool at my fingertips to create my own clothes with at least 1 basic set of male/female - doesn't stop me from purchasing content packs or additional clone cloth packs from others. To think I must rely on other products is not a desireable idea for me at all - to do so swiftly puts this product out of the hands of the public user. Here is a famous quote from successful marketers - "Sell to the classes - eat with the masses; Sell to the masses - eat with the classes."

Good tip,But as you said, the G3 characters are low poly, so it would be cool to have those G3 clone clothes included.I have a feeling that we will have to pay for it....

david with all due respect, why would you be against the release of clonecloth for IC3?

clone cloth for 2.5 was a stroke of genius - made it very easy to create custom costumes with just a photo editor, no 3D max needed (this helps me a lot since i dont have max and i dont know how to use it). However the drawback was very high poly characters - iC3 would presumably be able to provide lower poly characters with the same functionality - so that is a good thing

as for the [b]Natural human base Elements[/b] - Xor, etc.. i think you are misunderstanding the purpose of this pack - they don't need clothes because they are body prototypes - they are meant to be used with existing clone cloths- check out this tip at coolclones on how i use them

I've been patiently waiting, but my purchase is over 3 weeks old now and the product is becoming less and less useful to me without the ability to dress my G3 characters decently.

Regarding this topic I have an opinion, i think all G2 characters should have clone cloth, and the G3 main characters should have clone cloth too... Its obvious that when you purchase a machinima tool like this you want to be able to dress up your characters...Cheers,Miguel

Why can't I dress my characters? All I want to do is dress them in decent clothes - skirts are way to short now and I believe I should have the right to dress my characters to suit my modest tastes.:) I am not really going to be able to do much with my iclone 3 purchase until my charaters can wear modest and decent cloths - I want clone cloth to give me the tool to do it myself. So far, all the clothes available for females ALL the skirts are too short.:DWith all due respect, those of us who wish to [i]solely [b][/b][/i]use iClone 3 should not be held back by a prior version. If 2.5 should remain the standard, then perhaps iclone 3 should be rescended and those of us wishing to move forward get our money back so we can wait it out using either 2.5 or move on to a parallel product. At least provide 1 male and 1 female set of decent clone cloth - that's all I ask! Thanks for listening :)

Personally, I am against a next release of clonecloth for G3 ... It's really not useful at this time.
I remind everyone that we have not yet finished dress G2 only Jack, Jane and May have been entitled to a wardrobe.
What about the others characters: Xor, Moe, the teenagers and the childrens? Are they condemned to remain forever nude?
