Is there an alternative to CloneCloth?

There are many threads on CloneCloth 2, the limitations of using it with G3 characters, and the up coming CloneCloth 3. I was wondering if there are any alternative ways of making clothes for G3 characters?

A forum user by the name of Mike Aparicio posts about his Apparition products such as SkirtMagic (which isn't available yet), and I think he's released clothing such as a poncho. He is not an official Reallusion developer, as far as I can tell, so how is he making these products? Is it my guess that it is possible to import clothes like flowing dresses from other programs like Maya?

I have discovered that I can use iC2 characters, (thus Clone Cloth 2) with the tools that shape and help to create iC3 characters. That is great. But still would like to know the whereabouts of Clone Cloth 3 and its plan to be released. I do want to use the iC3 characters, but for now, without the ability to change their clothes, I am limited to iC2 character developement. Is there a probable date for Clone Cloth 3 release?Scheffler

Gown vs Gown Whole Set

In the MAY clone cloth sets there are B214_may_clone gown and B214_may clone gown whole set. What is the difference between the normal gown and the whole set? They look the same when loaded. AND when you buy individual packs - can you mix and match tops and bottoms? I downloaded a trial of the MAY casual and gown sets but the seperate tops and bottoms don't show up in the content manager like my Jack & Jane parts.JP

Modify CloneCloth

I have an article of clothing that is based off the 'Jane Dress Whole Set' Clone Cloth. Because it is a 'Dress' It has the big puffy shoulders. How can I mod the Clone Cloth to not have these?I have tried the garment with other Clone Cloth pieces, but none of them work. Any ideas?

Trey Mix and Match - how to install in Iclone3.3

I downloaded four items from Cool Creators. Three of the four items installed with no problems. Trey mix and match did not seem to install correctly. can some one tell me what folders the files should be in?? I sent a number of massagers to the Cool Creators Admin on there website but the Admin seems to be to busy to awnser my request for assistance. There was no help file with this item. - I been trying to get this Trey mix and match installed for a week. the files are named like this:Trey_mod1_Lower_Diffuse.imtl ( and so on ) If someone could explain what I should do It would be highly appreciatedUPDATE:October 1st, 08I just got a personal phone call from the administrator of the coolclothes website who read my above message on the Reallusion fourm. It turns out I was using a broken link in the contact section of their website and all the massages that I wrote never actually got to them. I do appreciate the quick response from the administrator of the coolclones website once he had the chance to read my posts.All my issues were solved in the 10 minutes that I spoke to Mark. If I just want clothing.....

OK, still a newb so bear with me.We purchased the 'Citizen Extras' pack thinking we could use the clothing on any of our models, of course I found out quickly that this was not the case.Now, if we spend the $129 on the Clone Cloth for Essential Humans Vol 1. does it come with all those outfits that I can apply to anybody I created from the G2 Natural Human Base package?I also noticed that that pack has stuff from other packs (IE Dress), does this mean it comes with the stuff from single packs such as 'Clone Cloth: Jane's Dress'.Will it also allow me to purchase packs such as 'Girl Next Door', and again, once I get this, can I use them on any character made from the 'Jane' Natural Human character?ALSO, do I have to use the tops and bottoms together or are they interchangeable.Basically, we are looking for a bunch of clothes for male and female that we can use. We don't need any Battle Armor or anything, just a good selection of daily wear clothing. I will be continuing to (attempt to) make some clothing when I get some time as well.Thanks

Hi,I want to make a big sleeve, robe style garment like in the attached picture. Anyone have some ideas. I am using G2 clone cloth gown and IC3 I have tried to scale up the sleeves but the arm gets big also - and it does not really look right. I also tried messing with the flex "cloth" ... if only you could pin multiple edges to multiple body parts - but no luck.Anyone up for a challenge in Max?JP

Creating Clothes

OK, so I watched the tutorial on YouTube on creating CloneCloth for iClone2 using photos and the template file from the G2 CloneCloth.I am using Jane from the G2 Natural Human Base, with the 'Cartoon' Avatar. When I create my clothing, ensuring that the bleed is completely filled, I get rough or soft edges in areas, and there are places where her skin will show through.I took a look at the Jane Default Shirt and it looks nothing like the template. I want to make some clothing like that, with patterns and such from some of my GF's clothing. How can I do this? Are there tutorials for iClone 3 available? Any help is appreciated.

clone cloth editing video problems

Hello The video only shows predone selections done with the lasso tool in photoshop. How did he do it???????? It really doesn't help much if I can't do that myself. It also shows him trying to fit the selection over the template and he has some trouble with it and then says "you get the idea but we already have a file setup. hmmmmmm

I am against G3 Clonecloth !!!!!!!!

Personally, I am against a next release of clonecloth for G3 ... It's really not useful at this time.
I remind everyone that we have not yet finished dress G2 only Jack, Jane and May have been entitled to a wardrobe.
What about the others characters: Xor, Moe, the teenagers and the childrens? Are they condemned to remain forever nude?

problem with 2.5 textures in 3.0

just noticed that the quality of icone 2 textures degrade in IC3 - the textures lose definition. Here's a render from 3.0 and a render in 2.5 using the same characters
notice the 2.5 are much sharper, the texture details and color are much more vibrant

please have a fix for this - there are tons of g2 textured characters that will suffer if not fixed.

Clone Cloth 3 - decency

We're 3 weeks into the opening of iclone 3. What is the estimated time of arrival of clone cloth 3 and why didn't we get basics to come with like we did with 2.5's jack and jane casual? I really can't do much until I can decently dress my characters. Guys must certainly be in control of the clothing be made available for G3 female characters - I need more modesty please and not rely on others. I'm ready - and now, when can I control my own destiny???

I have bought lots of iClone G2 Texture Pack.Only problem is iClone G2 Texture Pack : Summer Heat Vol. 1After installed.The iClone Diffuse files are from Summer Heat v1_1 to v1_6 six files are OK.But the iClone Opacity(C:\Program Files\Reallusion\iClone 2\Template\iClone Template\Texture\iClone Opacity\Summer Heat Vol.1) from Summer Heat v1_2 to Summer Heat v1_6 5 files are still appear Diffuse files name but Opacity files name.And the Jpg files seem to be looked wrong. Please check for all customers.Thanks!And tell me when to redownload if fixed.:P:P:P

G2 CloneCloth in iClone3?

I hope G2 CloneCloth still can be used in iClone3, also the other big (and expensive) content packs from the previous iClone versions, does anyone know if they are compatible? (still trying to purchase the iClone3 update without luck due to store problems, so cannot test it myself...)

Can't get transparancy or bump maps to function with G2 characters.

When using the G2 clone cloth characters the diffuse map works fine, but when I move on to the transparancy map the launch button remains inoperable.

How do you load up the diffuse maps?

I set up paint.net as my image editor and tried to launch the diffuse map for the trinity character and nothing comes up. How do i upload the diffuse maps and/or match them up with an extracted photo?

I have just downloaded the trial EX version of Iclone 3.0, and am trying to edit the clothing. Ive figured out how to open up the diffuse and bump maps inside my image editor and edit them, but in the F1 manual it shows that you can open up the full body meshes of the character and "paste" on extracted photos of clothing to the mesh. the problem i have is figuring out how to open these meshes! i can't find them anywhere, and don't know how to open them... Any tips would be ver helpful. thanks.

Adjusting the size of the prints on custom clothes

When I create custom clothes using clonecloth, the prints are too large for the small chracter. How do I adjust the print on the clothing to a size that best fits the animated characters small frame. I saw a tutorial once before that highlighted this, but I'm unable to locate it again. All I remember is a a black and white print on a male. Can you point out a tutorial or helpful hint and tips that I can refer to? Thanks. sw

G3 character upper & lower diffuse

While awaiting the arrival of g3 clone cloth - I've attempted to alter the looks of available G3 clothing so my G3 character can have a small variety of clothing to wear. I have noticed that the diffuse button operates properly - but the opacity and the bump appear to be disabled with a type of yield sign with an exclamation point within it. Shouldn't they be working? My preferences are properly hooked to Adobe Photoshop. Additionally, the upper and lower buttons seem to get mixed up. For example, when I changed the diffuse on some lower pants and saved the new diffuse pattern - when I switched to upper it would bring me the diffuse of the lower. A bug fix? Thanks for your help :D I'm using the Iclone 3 PRO version. :w00t:
