CAN THE ACTORS CHANGE CLOTHES DURING A SCENE?

3D painting on clothes.

I was toying with a demo of 3D coat and was painting something on a dress shape I created with the cloth thing they have and was just wondering how neat it would be to paint on the clothing in another app and bring the map back into iClone with normals and everything painted. That way I wouldn't have to flip back and forth and I'd get a better idea of what things were doing.

I know you can't pull out the clone cloth because it's only in .vns format, but does anyone know of a way to somehow paint on a 3D object and pull it to the UV map that goes with the clone cloth?... Sorry if that doesn't make any sence, but just wondering.

OK folks here I am again. I bought some wonderful stuff from ClonestoGo. Although I succeeded (with their help) get get my father Christmas, cows and gates to work. Completely unable to import my hippy and fairies (although I can the clothes) Also my Christmas pictures. Now I am ashamed to go back to ClonestoGo and ask for more hlep as they even bothered to make me a video to download and I'm still stuck! Their stuff is so great and so are they. But I wondered if any one could help me here.

I'm setting up the Duo for the MoonFlake Lake set but I require a set of clothing similar to the early Warrior Seen below.
I could fashion something in Clone Cloth though I feel I would need CC3 to do things justice.

Has anyone prefashioned a kind of early Warrior type like a Viking or a downtoned Roman renegade please? Really I need something sympathetically Barbaric but endearing.

Thi-Mai goes v.32a G3 / G4 and looks as Magical as ever!

Hope the skin colouring issue is solved soon, she needs some rose in her cheeks and less eyeshadow.:P I also have mysterious grey monochrome arund her mouth sides!!! But I think this is part of the 3 to 4 issues. I can work past it for now unless anyone knows otherwise.
I always worry that Thi Mai (Small and Mighty = Thi Mai!) will lose her Character from one clone generation to the next but I think here. with her Girlish looks (She's 247 years old actually...) and chubby cheeks and giant eyes she has made a good transition.

I think this Character design is a winner. It always was. We need to see him upgraded to
G4 because he really works. 10 feet tall, built like Thor and scantily leatherclad.... need
we say more. Heh! Dressed like that he has to be a super hero!

It would be great if there existed an outfit that mimicked this! On a G2 Body. Anyone?
Or at least something that was a bit rneegade. Barbaric with a warm heart etc.

Uniforms, tucked in shirts & gloves

I am looking at using iClone to develop a large number of short instructional pieces for eLearning. The client, a large mining and construction company, requires that anyone shown in uniform be properly dressed.

That includes a tucked in shirt.

In addition if they are depicted as working on equipment etc. that they be wearing gloves. (I don't think the supplied iClone 4 "mickey mouse" gloves are going to cut the mustard there).

Is there a clone cloth model available anywhere with a tucked in shirt?

Is anyone working on producing gloves for iClone 4?

While I would love buy those items now, I also be very interested in hearing from anyone working on such items so I can build up a time frame.

Stitching/bleed issues

Hi, all,

First, please forgive me if this is an issue that has been brought up in another thread. It may have been, and I just didn't search long enough.

I use Photoshop as my image editor when creating clothes....or at least, clothes-like things :D for my avatars. Right now, I just draw them, without all the wrinkle and realism detail (I know I'll get better at that later...)

(another person taps foot.....The point please?!)

Ok, so I can draw new clothes in Photoshop, but I always have a problem with skin showing along the stitch/bleed lines when I put the clothes on my avatar. In the "help" tutorials that come with iClone 3 SE, I think some information has been overlooked.

Where on the diffuse do I need to terminate the edges of the clothing on the front/back grids? Do I terminate them inside the bleed lines, or outside? I see outside the bleed lines on a couple of the images, and I've tried that, but I end up with the same result.

In other words: hellllllp? Pleeaaassssse?! I have fanfilms to make.

Dress with tights?

Ok so I'm not an expert at clothing and whatnot... especially of the opposite sex, but I'm looking for a dress that comes about to the knees that has tights with it.

The closest thing I can find is the petticoat which isn't quite right because it's a bit short and flares out too far.

I'm looking for it in BackStage because I don't need an entire pack of stuff, just the clonecloth for that. Any ideas?

Typing in "dress or Skit" in search doesn't come up with much.
It'd be cool to find it for a G3 character.

need t shirt for g2 or g3

I was wondering if anyone could hook me up with a plain black t shirt for either g2 or g3 characters? I also need some jeans if you got any.
Sorry Reallusion but I think it's a bunch of crap that I would have to spend at least another $100 to get a t shirt for my characters. The supplied sweater is just gay and the rest of the clothes are junk also.
And until you guys do something about the animation workflow and clothing then I am not getting Iclone 4. Why would I buy more software I can't animate for $%#56 with?
COme out with a body suit thing for animation for $500 that works with Iclone and we'll talk.

I really like this fayrie avatar and I don't know if others might like to use her for their projects.

Perhaps there is a tutorial somewhere on uploading the elements (boots, dress and wings) without including the required clone cloth bases?

Whether I manage that or not I'd appreciate your comments.

I moved this to Showcase where it is probably better placed.

Hello, just bought "Working Man" from Clones2go. It is said, it requires Iclone 2.5 or above and
Clone Cloth Vol 1.
My system: iClon3 (Standard) - that should fit. Installed is "G2 Clone Cloth V1".
Clicking "Upper" (Oberkoerper) I can open a folder and find 3 files delivered with "Working Man": Jack Overcoat Upper_Diffuse.jpg, Jack Overcoat Upper_Opacity.jpg, Working man 1.jpg (thats how it should look at the end).
My question:
- The preview of Working Man shows, that there should be more then only an upper cloth, but cant find it.
Perhaps somebody can help.

Fuzzy CloneCloth...

Hello. I had recently purchased CloneCloth for the program iClone. I am still new to this program and I do not know all of the settings.

When I applied the basic CloneCloth outfits to my iClone avatar, it turned blurry. And also, the farther back I go, the more distorted it becomes. And on the CloneCloth example images, theirs are nice and crisp.

I would like to know if or where I could change this on the settings.

Weird top shape on female clone cloth.

Looking at the new G3 Clone Cloth and going back to the G2 Clone Cloth, I noticed that the female shirts are set up as if the figure is wearing a bra with lots of tiny vacuum pumps built in. Unless all you are showing is deep cleavage a woman's short does not work like that. (Not even made of spandex.) Underwire bras sink back in in the middle of the cleavage but in all fairness that is about the extent of it.

Is there an easy way to pull that section out so the top goes, pretty much, straight across?

Anyone have any recommendations?

After reading and watching heaps of tutorials (thanks to all those who made them, I would've been totally lost without them!) I made my first shirt today - I'm sure the pro's will see a lot which could be improved, but I'm still proud of it. :)

G3 CloneCloth for Essential Man & Woman Vol. 1 question

I just got the G3 CloneCloth for Essential for Man & Woman Vol. 1. On the Trey models, there are visible faultlines along the seams connecting the sleeves to the shoulders, in particular on darker clothes. The same faultline can be seen on a couple of the Violet models with long sleeves. I would like to use at least some of the clothes as they are. Is there a fix for this?

p.s. Other than the above problem, these clothes look great even without customization. There are some truth in the saying - clothes make the man/woman. The avatars come alive with these clothes.
