I'm delighted to see audio imports of MP3 and not just WAV for the very same reason :D

RE: Crazy Talk 5 - Wish List

Hi Visconti

Thanks for responding. It isn't the Background Audio that I want to mute. The Background Audio is the track with the GOOD QUALITY song on it that I want to retain and have my character appear to be singing.

The track I DO want to silence is the top line, the VOICE TRACK that has MY horrific caterwauling on it that I needed to input to generate the phonemes. It would be EXTREMELY useful to be able to keep that waveform information **on view** within the project, to assist with timings, but I don't want to have to listen to it OR export its sound.

I know I can export everything and then tidy it up in an exterior video editor (as I have done in the past) but it would be very welcome for me to be able to export something that is COMPLETE from Crazy Talk - rather than ALWAYS having to post-produce with additional software.

I never get to see how good your array of export formats are when I have to finish my animations in another program.

RE: Crazy Talk 5 - Wish List

I am the greatest fan of all your products. New Crazy Talk 5 Pro seems to have a lot of new features I really value. I would like to add in wishlist one feature I really-really badly need: export to FLV with alpha-channel. Please let me know if this feature is planned in the release of CT5 Pro.

RE: Crazy Talk 5 - Wish List

Hi, Tatterdamelion

Sorry...here is a the correct update for you.
Yes, you can mute your music track easily in CrazyTalk5.

Please open your timeline and click "background audio".
Then, you can import your music and make some modifications by the panel below.

Thanks
Visconti

RE: Crazy Talk 5 - Wish List

Hi, Tatterdemanion

Indeed, this is a big difference from the previous version.
Since the timeline editing system was refined a little bit, this function results in one voice track only.
I will ask the product team to see if there's any good suggestion for you.

Thanks
Jason

RE: Crazy Talk 5 - Wish List

Thanks - that's an enticing tutorial.

When I posted my initial comment, I had only just started looking at the application and was still in a very CT4 mindset of pains-takingly generating animations by copying and pasting at an individual keyframe level.

The first audio file I tested was rather too brief (6 seconds) and bland (just a spoken remark) for me to appreciate the AMAZING DYNAMISM the puppeteering offers.

I've since imported a longer song and - already - with only THREE passes (!!!) of real-time improvisation the result is striking ! I'm SOOOOOO impressed with how the eyes and blinking can now be managed.....this is soooooo much fun and I've only just begun to find the features !

I wonder if you could answer my question about the audio.

I have imported a "Voice Track" of my very bad singing for the computer to analyse and create the mouth shapes on the "Lips Track". Although I can't SEE it on the Timeline, in this version of the program, I have also brought in the original song with full music and the original (talented and in-tune) vocalist. I would like to be able to perform all my animation preparations and export the final result using just THAT "proper" piece of music and not my weak effort.

Is it possible to MUTE me and just listen to the "Audio Background" ?

I wondered if I might be able to eliminate my vocal by cutting and pasting the full phoneme line into a fresh, new, empty Project but the data didn't stay on the Clipboard when I tried that....

RE: Crazy Talk 5 - Wish List

Hi, Tatterdemalion

Good trial......
You can refer to the Puppeteering tutorial which can make you get userd to it soon.
http://forum.reallusion.com/Topic2363-71-1.aspx

Thanks
Jason

RE: Crazy Talk 5 - Wish List

Ahhh. I'd find it a HUGE, HUGE help if it was possible to start and stop the Puppeteering Previews by clicking something on screen (maybe the Button marked "Space") rather than having to reach for the keyboard which is awkward and disruptive for me.
