ooooh.....wma is sound....oopsy...

Yes you need a video editor...it will autmatically compress your vids so they will work on utube or someplace...

magic is a inexpensive one...and Nigel does the best "green screen" with it!

I personally Camtasia Studio it is pricey...but I really like it the best, it turns them into flash or into wmv, and also does the html for the flash...

Let me know how you get on with the Magix 12 My version of 12, did'nt have the 3D orientation button, so I'm back to version 11 where I know it is. Either way fantastic value for a good video editor, super for the money. Good Chroma keying as well. ( green screen) :P

Hello to one and all who reply to this problem of mine. I thank all of you for your knowledge, kindness in pointing me in a true direction. All the links you all gave me supply me with a lot of ammo to do my next IClone Project. With all the converters out there I went with Magix Pro ver12 I hope it works out for me.

Peter the information you posted in your reply strength my brain-housing-group and I want to say thank you for your quick reply.

Hi Dusty,

I think you meant .wmv 240x176 rather than .wma which probably accounts for some of the confused replies. Anyway when you select to render an export in .wmv format the Output Size and Advanced will be greyed out because the .wmv options use profiles to select quality, size etc rather than manually selecting them.

If you look at the image below you should see a dropdown which is directly below the WMV selected video format and this lists the profiles that are available for export. There are 10 in total so you have to use the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard to see them all. There are several profiles available at differing quality so you have to choose which is best for you. There are several that offer better output than 240x176.

If you know anything about video profiles you can create new ones yourself by editing an existing one and changing the settings as required. You will also have to edit the lists.ini file to add any new profiles you create to the list. If this means nothing to you then I would leave well alone as making wrong changes could mess things up completely.

Annyway if you don't see the options like the image below then there may be other issues to deal with. Also worth noting is that if you are using Windows XP you will need to have Windows Media Encoder installed first. With Vista this is not required.

for all sorts of video- my favorites transcoder is media-coder - it is free and it converts to a number of different formats - it does an awesome job of converting to wmv - great quality at small file sizes

I usually turn anything into a wav or mp3 and then I use this program to convert to the proper wav format that works for the use with iclone...

this one has worked for me!

I thank you also for your kindness and thoughtfulness for posting a reply to my problem.

I do think I should be able to select above the lowest setting for a .wmv when exporting. Greyed-out in the advanced tab and the custom tab tells me there is a problem and I need to fix it. What you say about exporting a .wav quality is true and I thank you for all of your help.

Just to let you no I do have all the encoders & decoders installed all other video exporting areas work fine with no problems its just the .wav export.

I am no wizard neither Dustpan. I am sure there is a solution to this in iClone as I have been able to export wmv no problem but I must admit the quality is not to good. I have in the past exported to AVI and then used Movie Maker that comes free with XP to convert to wmv just for uploading as it reduces the sizes greatly.

Well I want to say you guy and girls at Reallusion have been busting your buns and you don't need to tooth your horn. I will help you in that area. Now I will buy ver.30 and my wife will be pissed-off because I just purchased Quidam. When you been married for 35years well, I wear the 501's. Now My ???
