Well three times now , I have uninstalled and reinstalled iClone. GRrrrrrrrrr!!!!!I had the boxed iClone2 Studio ver2.So uninstalled that , ran a reg cleaner etc. Reinstalled by boxed version , then the 2.5 patch. off the site.But whatever ..When I try to open Motion Editor it just wont ... nothing happens at all.Even from iClone itself or from Start/All Programs.As its now been reinstalled several times Im at a total loss to what it can be. There cant be any thing missing , not on all 3 counts to get same non working result!! Grrrrrrrr!Its driving me crazy ... so any thoughts guys to correct it.Thanks

I downloaded a couple of bonus and upgrade packs .. My I Clone is registered and and shows under my account etc as such..But .. trying to install them... I get the following error.....:w00t:[b]Setup program did not ind iClone on your computer..the installation of this content pack will be terminated.Please purchase and install iClone before you install this content pack..[/b] I have the most recent version installed , and as I ssaid its reg etc.Any thoughts abut this?ThanksNitetrollwww.nitetroll.com

Problem with the trial version

Hello,I installed the trial version today. Installing was not a problem but starting the software unfortunately was/is. Mostly it says "error occured", but sometimes I am lucky and iclones trial version starts and I can work with it. But unfortunately it crashes without a warning after a while.The hardware should be no problem - the check was okay (my computer is 6 month old and I installed all updates of Vista and drivers). Maybe Windows Vista Premium Home Edition or the Quad Core CPS causes the problem? Do you think the full version runs more stable?What I found out about iclones is so fascinating and I hope I can make it work properly on my computer. If you need more information to help me, please let me know.Thank you in advance.(Sorry for my bad English - I am no native speaker.)

Imported Wave, emotives (sometimes) don't work

Hi,i am using iClone 2.5 (Standard) with Vista (iclone patch is installed). I have the problem, that sometimes the emotives for Facial Animation don't work for some wave-files. Or just partly, so that right after the spoken words (no problems with mouth animation) the selected emotive suddenly kicks in.Other files work just fine and have been recorded with the same tool (no23 recorder) and same settings.Thanks in advance for your help!

Old, Poor Memory, No Docs I can Find on Installation limits

OK, I have been away from iClone for a while because my animations have been 2D in nature, but am finally getting ready to do the Camp Handiba project. So I'm contemplating reinstalling iClone.However, I'm guessing that I have to install the 2.0 version I originally got, then patch it with 2.1, and then hit the upgrade for 2.5? If I do all that, am I likely to hit the limit for number of installs? Is there any way to reset my counter for the number of machines it's no longer on (since I uninstalled before I got my new system)?TIA,Ewan

How to move iClone from C: to D: ?

Hi, First post here.

One of the new programs that was automatically installed yesterday with my new Magix Movie Editor 14 Pro Plus was ReAllusion iClone. I did not get any option and it installed itself on C:, taking nearly 500 MB. That partition is nearly full, which is why I always install new stuff on D:

So I uninstalled it and then ran the iClone installation from the Magix DVD. [b]But it still gives me no opportunity to change the destination![/b]

I could try just manually shifting the whole folder to C:\Program Files, but that will conflict with registry settings. How do I do this please?

Hi there ..i just purchased Iclone studio and want now my model to speak .. that why i will buy crasytalk5 (not pro)my question .. when buying CrazyTalk .. i have also access to CT MediaStudio 4.6 (cause CT5 is not kompatible) ??thxcimar

iClone Installed fine, won't launch

It goes up into the splash screen and loads perfectly fine until it hits the "Load Project" text and then just closes. I tried to research about it and turned off DEP for it and it still doesnt load up.

I have the iClone 3dxchange and it works / loads perfectly fine.

Any tips?

Custom characters invalid ?

Sorry my first post is a cry for help but I'm stuck. I have created many custom characters that all worked fine yesterday and suddenly none of them are working. When I try to load them I get an " failed to load character, this is not a valid character file" message. They have all been saved in the correct folder as .vns files so I haven't a clue whats happend. Anyone?

Can't Install

Hi there,

Stumbled upon the site via google and thought i'd give iclone a try.
Download from the site was swift, but when running the installer it gets as far as putting name/org/email then crashes and states:

"Catastrophic Failure ... error"

I've run the environment checker and that doesn't kick up any issues.

I'm now trying the CNET download in case theres a problem with the direct download ... though thats going to take hours...

Any thoughts or assistance would be appreciated, as i'd really like to try it out

Iclone is working fine but when i load Motion editor it crashes citing mfc42.dll. It looks like its just when the GUI trys to load the Library section. Any help greatly appreciated,

I can no longer see the thumbnails of media

I installed v. 2.5 two days ago and everthing was find, content and all. I have all the same hardware and have done nothing different (add/delete to computer); sufficient memory, graphics card etc. All at once this evening, I CANNOT see the thumbnail images of my media resources to pick and choose. Once I select, they show up in the window fine, but this is interfering with my ability to use the program. Can someone tell me what button I must have pressed to deny mself access to viewing the thumbnail resource/media images.

Please help me so I can get back to learning and creating. Thank you so much:)

iclone 2.5 studio can't function..

i have iclone studio 2.1 which works prfectly.But wen i install iclone 2.5 studio
On start it stops when it gets to the "Selecting Direct X device" and nothing happens.It stops at 2seconds.
Although i installed iclone 2.5 trial it worked perfectly.Bearing in mind that i have the latest drivers installed for graphics,audio,directx etc..and the System Requirements;So,where's the problem then?please help!

Hello,

OK I have been using iClone for many months now happily. On the 25th March 2008 I upgrade my processor and added an addition hard drive to my machine. We updated the BIOS so XP would recognise my new processor and everything worked fine.

Every other piece of software on my machine works, but iClone. On start it stops when it gets to the "Selecting Direct X device" and nothing happens.

I have updated all drivers, checked the Direct X control panel, run my anti-virus, restored XP to the day of the build, looked through the FAQ's, forum’s, but nothing seems to be wrong.

Do I need to re-install iClone?

Please help as I am currently working on a very important film and this is the first time iClone has let me down.

I have submitted a form to support, but I hope someone on here might have some idea.

iClone 2.5 Opens and close after loading

In my PC, When i open iClone 2.5 .. it loads .. all perfect.. after getting into te work base.. I mean the avatar comes and all in a sudden it gets close by itself. iClone 2.1 was working perfectly.

Mp PC specification:

Graphics Card : geforce 6200

RAM : 4 GB

HDD : 160 GB

AMD 3200 processor

iClone on wide screen

Hello everybody,

Maybe somebody can help me. When I start iClone (still trial version), then Jane appears at the left side of my screen. I use a wide screen with my computer system. Very handy, such a 20 inch wide screen. But the area in which Jane appears looks to me as a 4:3 screen and on the left and right side there is a grey field (see image). When I press F11 (full screen) then Jane appears indeed in full mode.

So to develop characters there will be no problem. But to develop 2D or 3D scenes I need a wide screen area (16:9) in stead of the 4:3 area that iClone shows.

I hope you understand me well, otherwise please ask me questions about it.

Iclone 2.5 issues with opening created files

I bought 35 seats for a high school classroom lab. I have a number of students who will create a file and try to save this file. Iclone crashes and gives them the send/dont send to microsoft pop up. Also sometimes they can save the file fine, but the next day when they try to open the file the software says its corrupt.

Win XP pro enviornment, in a typical domain setup. Temp files saved on the C: drive, but the actual iclone file is on a server.

If I have it configured wrong, let me know.... otherwise this may have been a huge waste of money.

Iclone crashes on startup

Hey guys,

I'm new but i need help. I just installed iclone and whenever i open it, it goes to the main menu, but a less than a second later it crashes. I tried on multiple computers, one of which has a pretty good video card (NVIDIA Geoforce FX5200 256 MB). What should i do?

Hi,

I am new to iClone and my copy came bundled with a magazine and installed as version 2.1.

When the update ran it told me to download v2.5, i click on the update button on the web page i was taken to but from there there is no option to download v2.5.

The software looks great but i have to say that the website is less impressive. I find all the pop-up pages (usually the default page) very annoying and the site does not seem very intuitive?

If someone could point me to the page where i can update from 2.1 to 2.5 i would be very grateful.

Figures in iclone

When I open iclone I always have a avatar looking at me. Can I not open and then choose my avatar and my backing screen? Also if I put another figure in (a prop) it seems to stand on top of the figure I have there. I guess this may sound pretty stupid, but have only started with iclone 2 and it is a little confusing for me. Would be glad of help.:)

missing "living plants" scene

I needed to reinstall iClone studio edition, but when I did so, everything seemed fine except that the "living plants" 3D scene was not there anymore. (I know that there is a pack called "live plants" that can be bought at an additional cost but I am not interested in that pack.) I would like the original "living plants" scene that came for free with my original iClone 2 studio edition plus the patch. (When I reinstalled, I reinstalled with iClone 2.5 studio edition.) Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I downloaded IClone a while ago, and I tried to install it. Unfortunately, when I try to install it, it says "Setup has found a previous installation of IClone 2 in your system. Please uninstall the previous version before running setup again. Setup program will now terminate" and then it all shuts down! I figured it must've been a demo that I downloaded in the past, so I found it and tried to delete it, but it wouldn't! I soon ran out of options and had to hire a local computer expert to help me out. He got rid of it, since we can't find it on the computer anymore, but the same message still comes up! Can someone help me please? I don't want my money to go to waste, since I really want to try this product

I have 32 licenses for my classroom. I would like to install Iclone/ updates/ packs on my master machine, then ghost this HD and image it to the other machines. What would happen once Iclone is started on every machine at the same time?
Can I then just enter a valid serial number??? (Hopefully)

Working Fashion Theme Pack Missing Hand Animations?

I'm having a blast with the application but it just occured to me. The Working Fashion Theme Pack I bought said it included 32 still gestures and 22 animated hand gestures. I've got exactly 4 animated hand gestures.

I'm hoping someone will tell me I'm looking in the wrong place or what else I need to click on the products DVD?

Evial Force 3D Scene Volcano of Doom has a grey ball right dead center of the scene. I have tried both scenes and still have the same problem. I have reinstalled it and still a grey ball right dead center and it almost takes up the hole scene. There is hardly any sky in the background.

Nvidia 7300GS my Screen Resolution is 1280X1024. I have the latest drivers for my card, don't no what to do to fix this, can some help me with this problem.

Installed 2.5 can't export anything above .wma 240X176. The advanced area is greyed-out custom size greyed-out also.

Now I no it is a simple thing but I cant fix it so, I need one of you grand wizards to help me please.

I have just downloaded the trial, but I am experiencing "jerky" graphics. All is fine with the basic figure, but as soon as I start to add other elements - environment, etc - I get stop/start motion.

I have done the check and all is available except Self Cast Shadow.

My system specs are as follows (1GB RAM). I've cut and pasted from the check report (actually a brand new laptop running Vista (unable to install the patch as it will only allow with full version):

I just purchased Crazy Talk v4.6 after seeing it demonstrated at the SLCC 2007 convention this past weekend. I was able to get the trial running and then uninstalled it. I then purchased and installed the media studio and kept running into a problem after I enter my serial number. It hangs for about five minutes and then comes back with the following message:

Crazy Talk v4.6 Media Studio Setup
Setup unable to retrieve information from the internet to validate your serial number right now.
If you do have internet access, please try installation at a later time.

Setup will be terminated.

The Reallusion website is up and running. Does this happen often? How can I validate the software and start using it?

Hi - I noticed that when you purchase I-Clone, you get 5 installations, and I believe I read on the forum somewhere that uninstalling credits these back to you?

My HD has just died (thank god for backing up!) so unless I can work a miracle I won't be able to uninstall. This isn't a problem - yet - as I have four re-installations left, but just wondered what would happen if I keep having this problem.

For some reason, I seem to go through a HD every 12 - 15 months!

I've tried downloading from different PC's, and different locations, and everytime the connections timesout on me. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but neither download location will let you resume an interupted download.

Hi.

I bought *all* available products and almost all content via Element 5 two days ago. Then i went to the homepage and registered all serial numbers (that was quite a lot of clicking since everything had a serial number)

HOWEVER... i started the installer and came to that point were i had to enter the serial number. So i clicked "Show Desktop" next to the Windows Start Button to hide all windows and to activate the email program to copy'n'paste the element 5 serial number.

When i tried to activate the iClone Setup it wasn't showing up! That means the installer runs blind in the background after clicking Show Desktop! I consider this as a major flaw. The only option you have is terminating the installer via taskmanager. I did that several times (because i thought that it just might hang and maybe works the 2nd time) NOPE! I finally rebooted my machine and tried that again - same result. So the problem should be easily determined on your side as well. These tries had the effect that i cannot install it now since it says it has been installed more than 5 times. Besides the fact that this is not true (not even one single file was installed) this blocks now my installation. And honestly i'm quite unhappy about that. I payed almost 1000.- USD 3 days ago. And this nasty bug is definitive not a user problem! I reproduced exactly this right now on my other laptop! After that i called the US office for help and they told me to post here in this forum.

Please contact me via the forum email (the mail i registered here in the forum) since i cannot check my work emails from home. I can provide you with all details from the transaction with element 5 store.
