There is sadly a problem with the walk path tutorial on this website but you can still find it on Steve's own website. Click the link below to view it.</P><P><A href="http://stevedraun.org/walkpathtute/walkpathtute.htm">http://stevedraun.org/walkpathtute/walkpathtute.htm</A>

RE: Greetings from Minnesota (USA) -- Learning to walk

Thanks to both of you for the tips.I will review all the info as soon as I can.ADDED:I can't get the Steve Draun tutorial to open (or download). The "Online Video" button pops open a new window, but it never opens anything. The "Download video" button brings me to a login page... I'm already logged it (right?) but even logging in there doesn't seem to help.I thought I remembered seeing a "walk path" tutorial link, but couldn't find it when I was actually looking for it. Steve's tutorial is what I was looking for, now if only I can get it to open.

RE: Greetings from Minnesota (USA) -- Learning to walk

If you can do basic mathematical functions this is easy to do. Follow the 60/120 rule developed by Neut and documented by myself which you can download as a PDF. This should help you out, if not you can contact me by PM or attend a Skype session. I hope you have fun and enjoy. Here's a couple of places with tutorials to get you started. After you get your character moving, check out the tutorial by Steve Draun for the walk path, it's particularly useful.VIEWVIEWVIEWHope this helpsShy

Greetings from Minnesota (USA) -- Learning to walk

Greetings,I am brand new to iClone. I got introduced to it through some friends on another forum who participated in a "Pinhead Project".I am stumbling around and have made some progress. My big question right now is about "walking". On some walking motions, the person stays in one place and the feet slide around. In other samples (in the Mega Pack) the person actually moves over the ground. You can see that when you edit the motion and you have the grid turned on.How can you effectively make the person actually MOVE while walking? Can you follow some sort of path? Or do you have to laboriously move the torso with each step?On a related note, I tried to string two "walking motions" together, but the second one starts over at the beginning (the origin) again. What is the easiest was to chain a series of walking motions together? As I said, I have only played with iClone for a couple of hours, but have been able to move the camera, change the scenes and the people, and even edited a motion. (I made a running person fall down, but it was a "running in place" motion so it looks sort of silly.)If you can point me to any tutorials (on online help) I would be very thankful.
