Greetings from the Evergreen State.

I had downloaded the iClone2 trial sometime ago and remember being so impressed with what it could do and just recently re-opened it and then recalled a problem that I had that caused me to go no further with it at that time. When working with the face, although I had adjusted the forhead down, when I went into the full 360 degree dance, the characters face was always pointed towards the ceiling, so most of what I saw was neck and chin....just couldn't get his face to be straight forward.

Hello all,I just purchased Magix Movie Edit pro 14 plus and it came with Iclone 2 SE (the real reason i bought the package) :)Looking forward to making some cool movies and liasing with you guys.As you can imagine i have some questions, if u dont mind taking the time to help me.1. Has any of you got the same package, i cant seem to register the iclones product as it came with another software package (see above), and the only serial number i got was for the Movie Edit software, so how can i register?2. My iclone version is 2 SE, there does not seem to be a timeline when i launch the software. I want to edit the motion and i read the help menu and it says go to animation, click modify, and click launch......there is no launch button?? So how do i get to see the timeline?3. Simply, how do i get more than one character in each scene?4. Iclone 2 SE, is it limited and should i get version 3? Will it cost me much to upgrade?5. I also use adobe after effects, is this suitable for creating dialogue between two characters or is there a simplier way?6. Can i create backgrounds or can i just use the ones that are downloadable? If i can how do i do it.I know thats alot of questions but i appreciate your help, and hopefully the time will come when i can answer for future users of the software!!!

I'm new to this forum as well as to the iClone and Crazy Talk 5 applications. Relieved to discover there are forerunners with years of experience and know how in a forum. I've used various apps in years past but I've never enjoyed the learning process of any of them quite as much as these programs. I hope to be able to learn from all of you in the future. I have a question today regarding the the various ways to save these files. I've only saved them in the avi format as if I save in the flash format the audio and visual are out of sync. Hi Guys, I just got iClone 3 Standard after playing with the free versions and am really enjoying it.But I have little problem. In the demo tutorial Trey gets in the car drives out the drive and turns off down the road. Everybody is happy :)So, I spend hours creating Tanea based on Violet but with different proportions (basically more petite). I put her in place of Trey and adjust the motion layer so she can reach the door handle. All is well till the car starts moving.Tanea is all over the place, sliding backwards... sideways and leaping to the right!I checked that, once in the car, my Avatar is linked to the LF position and she is so it's not that.Of course, I have recreated the scene from scratch, just using the Jeep prop, my Avatar (Tanea) and the operate command and director mode to steer the car and she's fine until cornering. She's all over the place!Oh yeah, I learned already to turn off idle motion - so it's not that (though that was quite wierd to watch until I realised).Soooo.... how do I get Tanea to stay in her seat?My apologies if this is not the appropriate place for dumb quesions but it's my first day :D Could some kind soul direct me to the right place for help?

I tried joining cool clones but it just does not seem to let me . The error returned : sorry, you are not permitted to use this board. At the top of the board it says:The menu has been disabled. Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. Hello to everyone, I'm new to Iclone although I've worked in Daz,poser,3dmax and Maya, have at least a working knowledge of them. Interest in iclone is animation. So I begin with a noobie question: i understand that characters made by daz and poser can be imported via 3dxchange but the resulting product would be static, no animation. I'm guessing that there is no way these can be animated once loaded into iclone, is that correct? Also the only way to maintain bone structure and thereby animation is through export from 3dmax or Maya? What if you exported a daz, poser character using collida to 3dmax, then export that same character to 3dxchange to iclone, has anyone had success with this route? Just looking for various ways to use my existing content. Thanks for your help.

Hi, I want to introduce myself, too. I´m testing since yesterday the trial version of iClone and I`m really sure to buy the full version within the next days. I did in the past video clips with real actresses, but never before worked with such a program like iClone. Nevertheless I`m fascinated about the possibilities, although I plan to do sports animations and see that is not possible, yet, to make the skin more realistic like showing some natural muscles ( f.e. the muscles in the upper thighs while walking or biceps muscles ) or veins. But I know: Thats the difference between a real video and an animation clip and maybe in some years it will be possible to work with muscles like with bones. I`m right?I hope that I will learn fast to work with iClone, because I cannot wait to make my first animation movie.

:w00t:After much head banging on another proposed solution, my .DE friend and partner across the pond suggested Reallusion:P OH Yeah!I'm only at CrazyTalk right now. That will take a few days to get up to speed. OF course I'm mad as hell at Reallusion for packing so much in *that* it will take days of no sleep before I can move up to iClone. :cool:Ok, cutting back on the puns a bit, yeah.... It late evening, early Sept and i spent a whopping $7 on a 3d party animation for CT V5 (via PayPal) and yup, Digital River is still having some issues, it appears. I certainly can grock I'm a USA pay account coming from outside the USA... so they might want to not get on the hook (at any amount)... and my paypal account is slightly less old than paypal itself, so we got a track record. So my forum reads before I became a member of the realusion family suggest some lingering issues. And I'm @ CT 5.1.xxxx now, which will keep me busy catching up to the rest of you for a bit of a spell :hehe:While of course it seems a little silly to say here (preaching to the choir?) the offerings remind me of PaintShop Pro vs. Photoshop, or Premiere vs. Camstaisia. Sure, the higher end offerings do more.... and for 80% of us, at what XXX% more of time and money to get x% more functionality we don't need in our work?While I 100% respect the full-boat folks, I know I don't live with those needs, and happy to have found the lean and mean group.Thank you for all the fast track data you have given, and I am looking forward to paying it forward.

Well I figured I'd say hello today, and let the staff here know how absolutely cruel you guys are around here.I'm obviously a new member to the Iclone users community. So new in fact, I'm yet to actually get my full versions. I've been using the demo to IClone. Back on the 11th, I ordered the Xtreame Elements combo1 so I could get the newest IClone and a bunch of goodies with which to start working. Well low and behold, today, on a Saturday no less, I open the mail box to find a big package in a manila envelope. I rush inside and scrounge for my letter opener only to find the old Iclone2 box was not in the order. The Xtreame Elements had been shipped separately.Now I realize, IClone 3 is out, but if you buy these bundles, you'll get the old IClone box, where you can then register it and get the real goody... IClone 3.So here I set......On a Saturday....Knowing the Iclone 2 box was also sent out the same day, but stuck in transit....All these nifty toys....And no way to play with them fully until Monday, when I'm sure the other package will arrive....Oh you guys are cruel....And I just wanted to let you know, I'm on to you... ;)Loc

Hello everyone,This is my first post on this forum. I am planning on using iclone3 to generate a movie. I have read about the features and like what I see.The plan is to create a movie with a large number of characters, lots of crowded scenes .. with most actors just hanging around doing odd jobs (mostly nothing). what I want to know is, does iclone support any kind of scripting language to control a large number of entities/actors. Something like hammer or lua from garry's mod? Can I control them to form queues or run around wildly (maybe randomly) , riot, applaud, etc .Thanks!

Validating serial number through internet

Please,can someone help as I am new to this crazy talk,I just purchased crazy talk 4 media studio and cannot do anything as it cant validate the serial number and as far as i can see this has to be done before i can have access to the disc,I cant get into do anything because i keep getting this message while trying to validate serial number,Online Verification Failed !Setup is unable to retrieve the information from the internet to validate your serial number.The problem may occur due to the internet connection failure,DNS recognition problem,or the firewall blocking.If you do have internet access,please retry installation at a later time.Setup will be terminated.This is obviously wrong as I have no problem with internet access as it says,so has anyone had the same problem that might be able to help me PLEASE.I cant get into the disk until this is solved ,so it is wrecking my head,please tell me what to do in easy steps as i am no whizkid,I just bought this to play around with some photos and stuff.thanks in advance.

Hello to everybody,After solving my problems with the trial version yesterday (at first I downloaded a version that is not running with Vista) and doing some good scenes later on with the Vista version I ordered the full version of iclone studio with some extras at a German online store today. I am planning to do some short or maybe longer video clip located in the Star Wars universe. Are there 3D models (space ships, speeders, lightsabres ...) available? Would be great.

Greetings,I am brand new to iClone. I got introduced to it through some friends on another forum who participated in a "[url=http://www.PinheadHQ.com]Pinhead Project[/url]".I am stumbling around and have made some progress.My big question right now is about "walking". On some walking motions, the person stays in one place and the feet slide around. In other samples (in the Mega Pack) the person actually moves over the ground. You can see that when you edit the motion and you have the grid turned on.How can you effectively make the person actually MOVE while walking? Can you follow some sort of path? Or do you have to laboriously move the torso with each step?On a related note, I tried to string two "walking motions" together, but the second one starts over at the beginning (the origin) again. What is the easiest was to chain a series of walking motions together?As I said, I have only played with iClone for a couple of hours, but have been able to move the camera, change the scenes and the people, and even edited a motion. (I made a running person fall down, but it was a "running in place" motion so it looks sort of silly.)If you can point me to any tutorials (on online help) I would be very thankful.

I am weak for temptations, and my latest, irresistable one was CrazyTalk. Just upgraded to CrazyTalk 5.0 pro to be able to do better lip syncing. For a complete video editing nub like me finding CrazyTalk was so much fun. Equipped with a digi cam, CrazyTalk and windows moviemaker I had so much fun making corny small movies. Mostly experiments to learn atm, but I hope to be able to do better things further on.

Atm torturing my friends with silly karaoke animations. Took me a while to figure out how to make split screens in Windows moviemaker. Nothing advanced, but it worked. If I get even more hooked I might get a proper video editing software.

My first result. Jumpy and bad synced, but I think it's kind of fun :).
