Hi ..Ive been having exact same problems..as you may see from my mail and screenshots.

However support did today contact me to say they had repacked RB Performances.

I downloaded it AGAIN from my account and indeed it worked this time after many ,many futile attempts in previous days with non repack.

I know also they have repacked RB Set.

So may I suggest you log into your account and redownload said pack.

I had originally posted this in a different forum, but to keep things together, I'm re-adding it here too...

Just purchased and downloaded today the Rock Band Bundle. The first two pieces (Combo_RockBand_Set.exe and Combo_RockBand_AdditionalStyles.exe) installed fine, hoever the third piece (Combo_RockBand_Performances.exe) errored out with the Error 7 message. Normally the fix for that would be to re-download the pack, however I had just downloaded it today to begin with, so it's doubtful re-downloading will make much difference.

But for the sake of argument, I did re-download, and it's still gets the error.

very grateful to Reallusion for [u]attempting[/u] to resolve the issues with the Combo Rockband Pack.
And I did today AGAIN for the 12th time . Install such. But the issues remain for me at least the same.

It appears you have only prepacked the one Element of the Rockband Combo pack.
Why not all of the 3 Elements that make it up?

Its the Performances which are give the pain in the *** hassles and which I have spent considerable time with Support to resolve. When you stated the Combo Rockband Pack would be repacked I was very hopeful but I was mistaken.#

The Combo Rockband Pack consists of 3 parts as you know .The Rockband set/Performances/additional styles!!!!
So other then the ONE repack which ok put back a couple of missing drums. ALL and EVERYTHING remains for me the same ..And I cant even install Addition Performances and even Stuff on other two packs is not ALL ok.Grrrrrrrrr

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh ... ok Ill just shoot myself!!!!:w00t:
[b]PS: Some good news at least , reading another post I have now manged to get the Hand Motions working and showing as they ought. By Right clicking one of the offending ones as in first pic, find file..then deleting all within. Then I just reloading the pack.
BUT I am still awaiting help on the Addition Performances Pack that still wont install ..why no re-pack of this .??????[/b]

Dear users,

We have repacked Rock band set already. If you have any abnormal problems in iClone4, you'll need to re-download and re-install it.

First of all, you have to login premium member account via the following link.

Steps:
1) Login your member: http://www.reallusion.com/member/program/memberreg.asp
2) The version of iClone will show on the web page
3) Click on “Order History” tab
4) You can find the download link.

Im pleased to say it wasnt me going crazy as the Support Team have notified me they will be repackaging the Combo Rockband Pack.
And letting me know when it is done as I guess they to will be putting a general notification of it to on the site.

Hi Peter.

Okay I uninstalled iClone totally, did a reg clean and all %TEMP% files.

From my account ,downloaded IClone pro v4 and also the V4.01 patch seprately.

Reinstalled , and also the Combo Pack Rockband. The first two installed just fine , without asking for a V4 or V4.01 path!! Although I do note the issues still remain where the correct icons arent showing in Hand motions and the drumset props!

The pain in the *** pack "The Combo Rock Band Performances" still wont install , and whilst its not asking for an install path as in my previous screenshot. I get the below error!

Im seeing no load bar or any box that shows its even attempting to load!!

Why can it be just this particular Pack!!? All the other Combo/Theme Packs have loaded just fine. I would so like to use this but hey!!!! What to do hmm...

Ive tried so many times , bring in the straight jackets.

Hi Les,

I'm a little puzzled why you have two versions of iClone4 showing. If you updated version version 4.0 to 4.01 then you should just have the updated version showing.

Having two different installations of iClone4 could be causing you problems. It may not be the cause of the Rock Band issues but it's not a good idea. You may have to uninstall everything and start again so that you just have version 4.01 installed. Then try Rock Band again.

Thanks for your time to reply and help out.

I tried all you said, ensuring %TEMP% was completly empty. Rebooted tried said Pack but still same error.Grrrrrrr!

Also tried clean up whilst in Safe Mode. Plus did a Registry Clean up.

Also reimported a ameneded REG file Support sent me which didnt do anything.though the error differs slightly ..see below screencapture ..

Also on the install screen it hangs at the below screenshot for 5 minutes or so !!!

(I know I need to tick 4.01 and when I eventually do I get the above error!)

All is so frustrating .. and I just dont know what can be tried next.

Ive uninstalled/reinstalled iClone Pro v4 and also the v4.01 Patch.

Ive previously stated all my other Combo and Theme Packs have installed great.

Its just this Pack.

Thanks for anything you can offer more.

This problem occurs because the file is not able to decompress the executable (.exe) correctly.

Please try emptying your temporary folders, restart your computer and try again. This should fix the problem under normal circumstances.

To ensure your temporary folders are completely empty, just restart your computer to let the OS clean up all the temporary files that it can, and then type %TEMP% into the Run box (XP) or the Start Search box (Vista). Hit enter and you will be taken to the TEMP folder where you can manually delete the files yourself if need be.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "crashes the internet". Do you mean you lose internet connection or that your Internet Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox etc) crashes or locks up?

If you are finding everything freezes or appears to have locked up and you can't do anything in the browser, then this could be down to slow loading of the page. This is normal and happens on some pages. Normally if you just allow it time to fully load the page and video it will become useable again. This can take a minute or so depending on your connection speed.

I'm having trouble with viewing the "Band Pack". The one with the characters. I can't view it because it crashes the internet. The same thing happens with pages with videos on.

I miss a sample or demo project from the package. However looks like excellent value. I am not sure if it my lack of use of iClone but I am having trouble attaching the instrument to the avatar.

UPDATE: OK I got it!

I need a spanish guitar!!!! Maybe a freeby...

Now this is really original and exciting !!! I look forward to this pack...

When can we drive movements from midi file tracks ? :) For instance, it would be easy to actually map Drum individual instrument tracks to persona movements such as Kick, Tom1, Tom2 etc.. :cool:

This would be really cool. Even more exciting... Perhaps you can easily conclude some arrangements with PG Music Inc "Band in a Box" !!!
