Hi guys, I was testing out the new integrated motion editor in IC3, im still having trouble with the feet sliding even after doing the root alignments, I wish realusion did a very detail tutorial on how to join different types of motions together, where the root positions a very different from motion to motion and how to fix it. All in all I'm pretty happy with the result, the fact that I had both character in view was a huge help to get the timming of the hits, and the motion layer track was indispensible. I will keep adding new tests as I have them so that people can see the work in progress. here's my samurai video - i created this as a way to learn the ropes of iClone 3 - but first, a huge apology to japanese speakers - i couldn't get japanese voice actors for this so ended up using Japanese conversation videos i found in YouTube:) and used those for the character audio - i then added the subtitles which are completely different translation of the audio but for the sake of this samurai video, let's pretend it does ;)

i designed most of the costumes, sets, props, shygirl designed the mother's costume and swords were all 3d warehouse converts

A private detective decides to "handle" his girlfriend problem. Demonstrates the use of iClone 3 features such as the camara switch (6 cameras used) and multi-character dialog. Much easier to put together with 3.0... saved a lot of production time versus 2.5.

Clone Bones

The base for this character was the droid from Daz 3D. I pulled him to pieces and modified some parts just to see what could be done with the clone bones within iclone 3.

It took a couple of pc crashes but eventually got a character. Used the text to speech also seemed to work ok.

Some of you may have seen the short write up I did in the iClone 3 Hints and Tips on the making of Clonebotnik where I showed how I made him and a short vid showing him speak.

Well I made a few more Bone Characters as it is a lot of fun putting bits and pieces together and seeing what happend. So I thought I would see how they performed so made a sort of Rocker Persona added it to bones and this is the outcome. Hope you find it entertaining.

What I mean by "REAL" is not a music video or just a doss while I experiment with various aspects of I-Clone as most of my other films have been, but an actual piece with a small storyline and interacting characters.I have done it in the style of a movie trailer, and while I would love to go on and make the full film, this took me absolutelly ages, so don't hold your breath waiting. However, I have written the book of the story and hopefully, will have it published one day!The problem I have had is with speech. I have recorded it in "bits" and edited it together, so there are some bizarre and random leaps and dips in volume. My next project is to work out a way to get a uniform soundtrack! iclone 2.5 really makes a lot of stuff easier - the horses and the motions opens up a lot of possibilities not present in 1.5 - check out how i hid the horse movement:) in the above videos in contrast to what you can do with 2.5 as shown in the new video below

Using iClone to create Flat Plane 3D Motion Graphics

iClone can make a decent motion graphic generator like the intros we've seen to movies, dvd menus and programs on the history channel that are used with narration.Using wall props with mapped iClone generated images and cutout with opacity maps like CloneCloth... iClone can make motion graphics without an expensive application like Adobe After Effects. It is not resource intensive and renders very quickly too. This includes text created in the same manner. Seeing this effect recently on the History Channel made me wonder if iClone could do it and it didn't take much time to get it done. The kids were shown iClone in only two hours. They were shown how to bring in multi characters in and put motion on them. They were also shown how to bring in a 3D scene and move the characters to their positions. They recorded their scripts in Audacity and imported the wave file and then exported the movie and snapped them together.
