I will make a tutorial how to design the dog and how to let him move with max and special tools. After this I will make tutorial how to use the functions in Iclone to get the best results with this motions.

First: get an idea to design and make rough sketches. Then build the dog and bones: keep them simple in the beginning, no textures or anything else. It use all render time. If there are more then 10 replies who says yes we want this tutorial then i will do it. So forum users are you interested to design in max, let ne know!!!!

Hi, all,

I think this really turned out good. This was an experiment using the "video" feature of iClone 4 PRO (a great proggie, btw...I've had no problems thus far).

Using video of rain falling down a window pane, I was able to make that the "water dripping down skin/hair/clothing" element for this "wetlook" shot.

I used the character AstroGirl, which is a Supergirl clone (played by the lovely Delcea Mihaela Gabriella for Zen Pictures).

First, I started with a dry AstroGirl, who gets shot by a mysterious blaster bolt. When she emerges from the water, I use the wet AstroGirl, who now has the video of the raindrops blended onto her skin (upper, lower, and face) and her coverings (sexy whole, hair). When using video of this nature in the "blend" function, make sure you use the "overlay" bullet so that you can blend the rain with her skintone. (Use "strength" to make the raindrops more or less prominent.) When "blend"ing the video with her clothes, use "overlay" but you might want to tone down the strength just a little. (I also used some particle effects to have water splashing off of her momentarily....and that effect was cannibalized from the "water hose" available at Backstage.) There are two sets of underwater bubbles as well. The ambient bubbles, and the bubbles from her exhaling.

Anyhoo...there's no audio to this....but I hope you like what I did. :)

Within a week of the appearance of iClone 4, I thought I had successfully ported my two characters over to the new G4 heads. / There are no G4 bodies, remember? :rolleyes: /

But something hard to define has prevented me from being as happy with my G4 head work as I was with G3.

So I've been working and working and working all month to improve my faces.

I suspect that it may be higher accuracy of rendering in iClone4? combined with a more sophisticated head model?

Whatever it is, ** iClone 4 will actually challenge you to become a better artist!! **

So forget everything you ever saw from my animation tests.

Revy Two Hand from the anime "Black Lagoon"

Hi, all...

My favorite all time anime character is Revy Two Hand from the anime/manga Black Lagoon.

I recently upgraded to iClone 4 PRO in my 3D animation/modeling hobby, and I made this 3D figure of Revy. I think she turned out really good. I did three still images of her....one most likely NSFW, so I won't post it here. (no nudity, just an obscene gesture).

Anyhoo....here she is.... Revy Two Hand, created and rendered in Reallusion iClone 4 PRO by yours truly. Enjoy :)

Next time, I'll remember to use the "hold gun" animation frames for her gun hands. LOL!

I was able to map her face from a good "straight face" shot of Revy, and using the facial puppeteering, create the expressions on her face. Had to create shoulder holsters for her, and combined the shoulder straps (basically two toru primitives and two flat planes and a curved plane) with the Beretta and Holster prop you can get from the Backstage store.

Now, if only there were more belts available. I had to draw her military belt onto her Daisy Dukes. :)

An experiment with IBL

How to format your movie poster!

All the movie posters at Quicktime.com have a size of 134 x 193 pixels.

Therefore, it seems to me that if you want to future-proof your movie poster for use indefinitely, design it at 1340 x 1930 pixels.

In other words, 134:193 is a standard aspect ratio for posters.

Aside from the weekly freebies, it's been a while since I released any content on a larger scale. The show and production of various projects has kept me busy. That being said, for those that do listen to the show, you heard us chatting about the upcoming sci fi mega pack. I know there's alot of folks looking forward to this pack. It's in its final stages of some stress testing of my own before I release i to the Reallusion and coolcreator store fronts. The widget below will give a taste of the contents of the pack. It is not an exhaustive demo, but it shows a great deal of what the pack will contain. Everything you see in any of the photos (except the one character in the sickbay) will be included in the pack and then some. Once it's submitted, I'll update The CCD thread with videos of the prop sets in action. Thanks to all for the requests and guidance on what you'd like to see as it helped me immeasurably in the modeling of this pack

I created the robot "Clone Bot Mike", a new morphing robot soon at the Content store, DressWizard impersonating the space victorian lady with mesh skirt, and one real actress in PopVideo interacting dramatically with the others.

This was an experiment with a converted sketchup model. The original model used in this test render was modeled by commanderm009. I pulled it apart to import into iclone and utilized clone bone to create body movement. Some custom video clips were created in iclone and then applied as the texture map tothe tank treads to simulate movement. All in all a fun experiment.

1. She was first turned completely Black(Skin, Hair, Clothing, Etc.), then Exported as a Widget.

2. Re-imported as a Widget and placed on a Flat Plane, then Flipped 180 deg. and placed against the wall.

The Original Characters Clothing and Skin was returned to Normal so she could "Shadow Box" with the light from behind her casting a shadow of her on the wall...(Not really of course).

The Lamp sitting behind her is there to perpetuate the lie that she is in fact "Shadow Boxing" It has a Glowing Ball placed on the front to simulate it is on.

Without putting the character on a Flat Plane as a Widget it would not have given you the Reversed and Mirrored image. Just reversing the motion will not do. You have to apply it, then flip it.

Oh yeah, the motion you export as a widget must match exactly as the character and be timed the same "Frames Per Second" when creating the Widget.

This has been a short "Widget" learning experience...try and see if you can do it. It's easier than it looks.

While this isn't an animation, it is, never the less, a set segment that's about to be used for the Exhibition I'm working on perpetually . So it marginally qualifies. :)

However, after a request from John Martin II I wanted to deliver, not just stills from the sets I have already created, but also something anti-modern and Victorian similar to those "Dancing Faeries at the end of the garden" from the turn of last century. Everyone's seen those.

Here, then, is a simple 5 minute intermisison, where I play with plants and static dancers to create my PostCard! Ths Full Size Still of which is seen HERE!

Digging through some of the official European Photographic Archives in the, now rather elite and exclusive, London Museum it was quite apparent that this photograph actually has an element of iClone noticeable by the formation of branches on the tree close right!

Speaking to one of the officials she said this was taken about 1879 by Fox Talbot with what was then a revolutionary plate glass full plate Camera of a genuine iClone scene. Its the only one known to exist and I wasnt allowed to handle it but there was definitely something binary about its odour.

Just wanted to post my new Halloween video. I tried to put a little humor in it this time, however some people may think my humor is a little too dark.But what I really wanted to comment on, is that most everybody probably has content you purchased because you thought it looked great but never got around to using in your videos. I know I have.I decided to start adding those I haven't used yet into my next videos. I know that most will never notice these added props in the background of this video, but I added the animated rats and animated insects that I got off of the Clones2Go website. I think they added a nice touch to the video even though as I said not many will even notice them.If your not into Halloween or Horror, you may not care to watch this one.

Just playing around, I put together a little music video. It's a 5 minute clip, and it took me about 4 hours to complete. This isn't anything particularly special. But I learned how to use the camera switcher and how to manipulate motion clips in the timeline. I think I can anticipate having a lot of fun with iClone.
