However, that still wouldn't provide the voice required when handling the reaction facial expressions.

Nearly there - just missing one vital piece at the moment!

Next Version Wishlist

...
With Crazytalk 5.0 now available it's time to think about what you would like to see in future updates and upcoming versions of CT.

Share with us your thoughts on what you are wishing for Crazytalk. (A person opens his lids wide open if he's very excited.)I lower the eyelids on most keys, so it's a lot of work.Currently, you have a slider for "Eyes narrowed." I would love to see this replaced by a slider which reads "Eyes wide."Thanks for considering this.

Crazy Talk 6 for Mac, Please.

Looking for a version of Crazy Talk Pro 6 for Mac, you can launch a version of this software for Mac? I pay up to twice the price to get this software running natively on Apple machine. I think the performance better. For I, I believe it has many potential buyers of this software for Mac, and that he would do if I had a very successful native version for Mac So please, please create a version of this software for Mac

One suggestion, if they release a version for Mac, I believe it would be nice, wait a bit until the release of Snow Leopard, and that the software version is in 64bit, because it would be much lighter, fluid and fast to the creation of effects.

Thank you,
Jessy.

A wishlist feature that I would truly love to see

I was looking into buying a webcam recently and noticed that Logitech has software that allows some of their cams to read facial expressions and transfer those, to one degree or another, to an animated avatar.

I don't know how effective it is, probably not hugely so... but if that kind of mocap is possible, I'd love to see even gross movement capture available with Crazytalk, or iClone4 or later. Letting the user 'act' out the expressions he wants would be awesome, even if we had to go back and fine tune them manually afterwards.

Granted, even if this works it would probably have some steep requirements for the cam and other things, but I'd buy it. Well, as long as it didn't require a new mortgage or something. :)

Anyway, maybe just a pipedream, but there it is.

Hair Addition & Control

Hi:

Would like CT 6 to have functionality similar to moth and Eyes for HAIR!. True it wouldn't be perfect and would require adjusting, but it would definitely be a major time saver.
Having multiple layers of facial animation would be great for using Puppet controls tool, making it easy to adjust multiple passes of animation, ie, head movement, brows, cheeks ect.

not sure if this would make a large difference or not ( i need to play with it more) but having the ability to scale and translate the face orientation gizmo for getting the perfect fit when setting up a character.

the ability to have characters over lap each other and still animate properly. for example if i have 2 characters standing next to each other with one characters shoulder overlapping the others. It would be great to be able to have both characters shoulder animation work with out interfering with each other. Not sure how to accomplish it but perhaps being able to set which characters control points are in front of the others via layers or something similar.

the ability to save characters facial control points separately from the background. ( many times we have the same character in different backgrounds. currently we have to remap the control points to each new background every time!)

how about the ability to uniformly scale the facial control points, in CT6 you can now save maping information when you update a characters image, but many times we end up adjusting the size of that character. making all the control points not match up any longer.

EDIT: how about giving us the ability to use our CT5 eyes in CT6 add them the the library so we can use them. even if we cant use the new effects on them, CUZ they still rock!

If any of these can be done currently please tell me how, but so far i haven't came across em.

Wishlist -- a few

1. The option to SAVE as well as the current 'SAVE AS' (which is labelled as simply 'SAVE' - but is really a SAVE AS option).2. Better control of the the Timeline marker - the mouse must be positioned with some precision to avoid 'dragging an area' instead of simply scrubbing the timeline.3 The ability to remove randome movements of the face during editing (they confuse what is actually on the timeline) Note: This is probably already an option - I just haven't found it yet. !!4. I'd like to see more - or different - moutrh shapes 'clues' for speech. The 'automatic' mouth adjustments for an added waveform etc can be pretty inaccurate, and it seems to me that many shapes are conmstructed by using several of the 'basic' mouth shapes. In fact, the mouthing expressions used diring the 'test' (in particular, for the vowels - 'A, E, I, O, and U' ) are exfcellent, but don't seem to be duplicated by the phenome patterns given. They obviously have been created wsith these - so I'd like to see how!!5. The ability to resize some of the screen - in particular, the timelines - to occupy more of the screen. I use a dual monitor system and split the display over two screens, but it is not possible to extend the timelines vertically, so each property line can be seen clearer. In spite of all this, an excellent program!!

A couple of enhancement to add to the wishlist

Multiple face puppets... Yeah, I know there's a way to do it via compositing, and chromakeying, and an external video editor, but personally, I'd like to see it built in to the app... Ok, now that the obvious request is off my chest, a few other suggestions...Personally, I'd like to see a scrollbar in the timeline. I'd also like to see an easier way to place markers on the timeline. For example, play through the entire timeline without stopping, but as certain elements or sounds are made, I'd like to drop a marker so I could come back to that point in the timeline. An example would be a music video. I imported the wave file, and because it had music and vocals, it created a series of non-stop lip synch poses. I wasn't too worried about lip synching accuracy, but I didn't want the lips moving while there was only music playing. So I wanted to listen thru it once, dropping markers where I wanted to come back to and strip out those poses. As it was, I ended up starting/stoppoing, starting/pausing, starting/ stopping over and over again. What a tedious PITA... I tried writing down time signatures, but there's no way to navigate to an exact time stamp, it's all thru dragging the current position marker thinig back and forth...As I said, this whole process made it tedious, and not the fun it should have been...So with that said, andother request would be to navigate to a timeline position more accurately through entering a time to jump to.And my last request would be for every puppeteering pass, make it a different track, don't blend and merge them until I either press a button or when I export. I may do 5 puppeteering passes, but eventually want to eliminate or edit the second pass because it didn't quite gel well enough with the 5th, etc...

timeline

putting the pause play button as one (1). with the timline expanded out to edit various lipmovements or starting stopping where i want it may sound silly but i really don't want to concentrate on my mouse position and where in the timeline i want ot pause. also a button control to scroll the timeline besides a scrubber. thanks for reading.

Would like to purchase more eyes

My top request for CrazyTalk is an eye expansion pack.

My needs are very specific--human only.

In fact what I need are the very same human eyes included with CrazyTalk, except with highlights coming from the opposite direction.

This is because I want to match the lighting in character eyes with the lighting in the setting.

Thanks. :D

One more sfx line

I am a great fan of this programme but I do wish it had at least one more SFX line.

Reloading face texture

The first feature I would like to see is the ability to reload a revised "photo" to an existing face model.

This would be an enormous time-saver, since otherwise one has to start from scratch on face-fitting each time one decides to refine the image.

I assume that one reason you don't offer this already is because two photos of different resolutions won't automatically map to a single 3d model.

However, if you encode the width and height of the original photo at the instant the model is created, you could check the dimensions of the replacement photo (2D cel drawing, actually!) and accept it for refitting only if it's an exact match.

I'm actually hoping you might see fit to incorporate this in a point-release...?

Note that I do not favor the alternative of offering a makeup-room in which the user paints on the face model. Technically, I think that would be overkill. Besides, one has so much more control in a conventional photo-editing application.

Thanks for listening. :P

Wishful Feature & Roadmap

Reallusion values your every comment about CrazyTalk.
Your suggestions have been collected for our product roadmap as below.
Please go through the available features here, and request for your new idea.
This table will grow regularly according to your efforts.

CrazyTalk for Stickam

Since there is a CrazyTalk for Skype - I would love to see a CrazyTalk for Stickam - is anything like this possible since the groundbreaking would have been done with Skype?:w00t:

Crazywishes

Hello All,

I decided to copy paste my wishlist requests for Crazytalk from the old forum. I also produced a sample animation that I will post in the Showcase Yourself forum when I figure out how to do attachments of video.

Profile-frontal animation for 2d: Imagine drawing 2d images or taking photos of a head turn. Simply load the three images(front, 3/4, side profile) into Crazytalk. Have three different auto head types (the aforementioned front, 3/4, side profile)for each corresponding image. When the lipsyncing is generated and the user specifies when a head turn takes place (make it like one of the emotional states in the palette) Crazytalk will morph through the drawings.

2.5d heads: Allow multiple drawings/images to generate a 3d object.

Quicktime: Output to resolution independent quicktime (With Alpha channels)

Alpha rendering: Output the renderfile only of the Alpha Channel.

Photoshop Extended: Allow for output to video layers in Photoshop Extended.

Larger Aspect Ratio: Output to any aspect ratio specified (Resolution Independent). Have standard presets: HD/NTSC/PAL/Film.

Macintosh Version: My unit is a Macbook Pro. Thus far I have used Parallels Desktop to run Crazytalk/WinXP. A Universal Binary version for the Mac would be ideal.

Vector Input/Output: Allow manipulation of vector head drawings.

Thanks.

Production blog http://bigheadscientists.blogspot.com/
A cut and paste across projects would be nice.

Basic windows function, please add it to your application.

i.e. I create a complex project, I save it as "A", I create another project and save it as "B".

Like any software engineer I want to save time by cut and pasting sections (mouth, eyes, etc.) across and modify them instead of having to create the whole thing again from scratch.

Is the any way to do it ??????????????????????

Maybe some file I can copy across ?

If not, get the basic cut and paste function sorted.

Lip sinc screen

I would like to see a better way to edit the lip sync line, perhaps a pop-up screen that gives a bigger picture. Those little itty-bitty phoneme tags against that little itty-bitty wave file, are a bit difficult to sinc up. Of course, when the video is restarted in the player, everything works fine since it is then fully loaded. I suppose leaving some blank dialog space before each speech would solve this but that's a waste of the cool effects and wastes time for the viewer and increases the size of the file.

Not only to work around this problem but as a desired addition, I would like the ability to begin a video with an opening text screen (title, introduction data, advertizements, etc.) before the talking head cuts into the scene.

Crazy Talk 5 is amazing. Be able to preview blinking (L/R eye) in facial mode with the press of a button.

2. Be able to edit eye control points *while* seeing a thumbnail pic of the eye in the closed position.
The closed eye position should automatically update while editing the control points, so we can
best remove any distortion.
Some more:
3. Slo-mo blinking preview. Or be able to use a slider to fully open and fully close eye at any position.
4. No matter what I do, I always get eyebrow smear when blinking.
