Usually those six dots (plus the two corner dots) enable you to avoid the "v look" although sometimes you have to cheat and turn on "mouth open" even if it is closed.

Posting an image (you'll have to upload it elsewhere and then post the link here) would help us help you, so to speak.

I do agree it would be nice to have more dots (two more is all we really need) but this is usually only needed when the mouth is *really* complicated (like the Sam the Eagle example I've posted here -- that beak comes down over the mouth) or when trying to do a profile image. I've yet to need more points with just a standard face.

[Archive] V mouth - more dots please?

I would like to be able to add a number of extra "location dots" on the mouth. I know about the the multi dot choices via the visual menu at the top left of the screen. But even with these I ended up with a "V" mouth instead of following the lips.

I can guess why this happened as the shot, whilst being full faced, is from a high angle, therefore the face is foreshortened. This has resulted in a very upward curved mouth at the end points, plus the fact that the girl is smiling. Her lower lip is accentuated too.

Is there a way to add more dots so that I can fine tune the perimeters of the mouth better?

Give it a try
