Cany Uninstall...

So I think I have a virus and need to reinstall CrazyTalk 6. The problem is that when I try to uninstall the program through "Add/Remove Programs" I get an error message saying "Setup has a problem and needs to close". I am able to remove many other programs, just not CrazyTalk. Is there a solution...or workaround? Please help. Thank you.:crying:

Windows 7 - won't install

I have been using CrazyTalk 5 SE just fine, so I have upgraded to CrazyTalk 6. However, the installer won't run :(

I double-click the installer and Windows 7 asks the usual question - do I want to install. I agree and the window closes. From here, nothing happens at all.

In Task Manager, I see the program start, along with 2 dllhost processes. They end in just a few seconds.

I have tried to run the installer in Vista and Windows XP mode, but this does not work either.

Has anyone seen this, are there any solutions?

Can't Connect to Server to verify serial #.

I seen this post several times on this forum and the bad thing is noone posted what they did to get it to work. I looked in the FAQ area of the support area and it was vague.

I emailed support and here is what they said to do.

I tried all this and still cannot get it to install. So it looks like I have a useless piece of software. I wish they had a linee to call like adobe does for offline registration or an alternative way to get my software going. I don't have any spyware software or other protection. I noticed Vista comes with what is called Windows defender...I turned this off.

I think they need a better trouble shooting area for folks that are having the same problem.

Side by side configuration error

I installed Crazy Talk standard after purchase, had a quick play to get the feel of it and everything seemed to be working fine. After rebooting I now get the message "Unable to start your application due to a side by side configuration error"

Can anybody offer any advice or solution to this problem, it would be much appreciated.

Re-instalation of CT5

I purchased CT5 earlier this year while on tour and installed it on my notebook running Vista. CT5 worked perfectly. When i returned home i wanted to install the program on my desktop that is more powerful to no avail. I read eula and realized that CT5 is only one licence per pc. I uninstalled CT5 from my notebook while connected to the internet and retried the installation on my desktop but it did not work. I asked for asisstance from the technical team but did not recieve any answers. I gave up and tried to reinstall CT5 on my notebook but this no longer work. Nothing changed on the notebook since the first installation.:ermm:

hi, i bought CT 6 in a bundle with facial expression V1 and v2 + Comic Character Specimen , and worked fine.
Yesterday i bought Love words and text bubbles V1, which are supposed to work with CT 6 as they're indicated " Required: CT 5.0 PRO or above", but they're not compatible with it as said during install...."CT Standart 3.12 cannot install this addon" "the installation will be terminated..." and off it goes!
so what can i do now, and also why not to put a warning in the store about this problem?

I got notification today that my iClone and CrazyTalk editions have updates, and while the iClone update worked just fine, I was told that my version of CrazyTalk couldn't be upgraded.

I"m running version 6.0 Pro.

I probably still have version 5 on my system. Don't know if that's causing the problem or not...

Hello,

I have installed CrazyTalk6 Standard on 60 laptops at our school. (we have a site license) I am experiencing the following error when starting up:

CTIEMain.exe Application Error

The installation at "0x1a30c968" referenced memory at "0x0000001c" The memory could not be written.

After I click through this error another comes up immediately:

The exception unknown software exception (0xc015000f) occured in the application at 0x7c94483a.

It then sends me back to windows.

I updated directx during the install and rebooted.

I am running windows xp and have full administrator's rights on the system.

Any ideas? I have many staff who are anxious to use this program with their students.

I am trying to use CrazyTalk6 Pro/download vers. on XP. I downloaded the tutorials and my working window does not look like the ones in the tutorial movies. I do not have the line of ten buttons on the left . Nor are there nine horizontal buttons on the top left! I have looked over the pdf as well as the numerous movies online. I am able to load the demo movies, but I am not able to do anything new...

I am very frustrated! Can you tell me what i need to do?

Transparency

I have now looked at every tutorial and help file I could find.

CrazyTalk 6 Pro
I import a .png image with a transparent background created in Photoshop, but the image does not show the transparency in CrazyTalk.
I go through all the steps as per the tutorials and when I export the project as a .flv the transparency does not show, in stead there is a white background.

I am trying to use the crazytalk project in Adobe Flash and it is supposed to go as a layer on top of a moving background. That is the reason it has to be transparent.

I'm obviously missing something, but what?

Can somebody please help.

Have Iclone 3.2 PRO and bought Crazy Talk 6

When I try to launch CT 6 from Iclone it askes for CT 5 and I don't see any way to change this. CT 6 should work with IC 3.2 Pro shouldn't it?

Crazy talk 6 flicker problem

When I use crazy talk 6 the screen flickers badly making the software unusable. After launch the splash screen appears without problem, then the option screen for product demo etc appears. Still no problem. When this screen closes the flickering starts. I don't get this flickering with any other software. My processor is a AMD Athlon 64 dual core 5200+ 2.70 GHz. I have 3.37 Gb RAM running Windows XP Pro with SP3 using ATI Radeon Xpress 1250. Anybody able to help please?

crazytalk 6 problem

when i make a project using crazytalk 6 pro,it lets me download a wave file into project,but 3 min. song is shortened into 1 min. 5 sec.,also emotives and timeline not available,you see them but can not use.i tried a uninstall and then reinstall,making sure to remove all software and files,before reinstalling.also,i tried using tool to add my add-ons from crazytalk 5 pro into crazytalk 6 pro,did not work.then tried to copy and paste add-ons,that did not work.

Cannot install Animation Toolbox

I have CrazyTalk 6 on XP. I am unable to install animation toolbox, I get a message that "setup program did not find CrazyTalk on your computer." Crazytalk is installed and seems to be working just fine. Anybody know where the setup program for the animation toolbox is searching for CrazyTalk?

Iv spent the whole day trying to download the crazy talk facial expression clips (1 and 2). I had no problem downloading crazy talk which I also purchased. Just the expressions and also the content wizard wont download either.
The message I keep getting is 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'.
Iv contacted support but no doubt I'll have a long wait.

I want to run crazytalk pro 6 on my netbook samsung NC10 but I get a message that the a 1076x 768 display resolution is requierd, but NC10 is running with a 1024 x 600 display. Can I solve this problem and does anyone know how?! I want to work onmy netbook with crazytalk so I can work evrywhere. Please help.

CrazyTalk Pro 6 jerky, slow, skips, CPU 89%

I also have CrazyTalk Pro 5 and it's still working just fine. However, purchased CrazyTalk Pro 6 and can't even enjoy the sample templates that come with the program because they skip, voice is out of sync to mouth. As soon as I start the Pro 6 program the CPU usage for CTIEMain.exe shoots up to 89% (or higher) and stays there while program is idle which bogs down my entire PC.

I have XP SP3 (Home Edition), AMD Athlon Processor 3000+ MMX 3DNow 2.2Ghz (2.16Ghz), 960MB RAM, DirectX 9.0c, 116 GB free space on Hard Drive.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled, system restore/reinstalled Pro 6. I have also lowered the hardware accelerator.

CPU stays almost maxed out.

Anyone else have this same problem? Any suggestions? Thank you.

Activation of CrazyTalk Pro 6

Hi all, am new to forum ... have CT Pro5 and over weekend purchased CT Pro 6.
All seems fine with download and installation, with program, Animation Toolbox, etc etc.

I have two queries for help... first one
Everytime activation of icon for CT Pro 6, a dialog box appears "User Account Control - Program needs permission to continue", instead of opening directly to program.

Second - CT6 ContentWizard is installed but no projects from CT Pro5 showing in CT Pro 6.

Am writing here as also Support Technical query at Reallusion is not recognizing serial nos! eventhough its listed in my account!
My OS is Vista Home Premuim.....

Any help is most appreciated.

Crazy Talk 6 - ContentWizard and ImageSpecimen pack

Purchasing CT6 there should be a Content Wizard file to download - enabling content from CT5 to be transferred to CT6 - and an ImageSpecimen pack. Download addresses for both of these fail - Broken Link message.

I need to transfer stuff from 5 - projects, samples, images etc - so the 'wizard' is pretty important (I suspect a file structure change, in view of the additional features).

I bought the CT6 pkg today. I have 11 different files to open. I started with CrazyTalk6PRO_Enu.exe

As things progress normally, I have been met with the following error code 4 times now:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Reallusion\Access is denied

Can someone please help me with this. I had no problem with the trial version on a laptop, and really am not in the mood for gremlins tonight!

Bringing Purchased Content into CT6

I just purchased CrazyTalk 6 and I am excited about the possibilites. I got on board with CrazyTalk from version 4.0. After a computer crash, when reinstalling my then Reallusion products, I reinstalled CrazyTalk 5 and not Crazytalk 4 (for space savings - which is still an issue). So, now that I would like to use some of the purchased content from Crazy Talk 4 (Americana, Female Image Pack, Inanimate Objects; & Paintings & Artwork) I cannot, because the installer tells me to go buy CrazyTalk 4! I care not to reinstall Crazyrtalk 4, I would simply like to run the purchased old content packs and import them into CrazyTalk 6 (or even 5!). How can I do this? I have all proof of purchase and serial numbers to go, but the installer prohibits me from installing. All my CrazyTalk 5 stuff came in fine - I would like CrazyTalk 6 to have my best and brightest purchases and content. How can I get this in?

CT 4.5 Hand Gestures Effects into CT 6

After lurking for some hours I finally found in one of my backup DVDs this effect that I used with CT 4.5. The app refuses to install because it looks for a CT 4.5 installation. Since I have a backup of the Hand Gestures template ditrectory, Where I can copy it into CT 6 so I can have those effects available? I don't want to install CT 4.5 to solve this.

'Invalid Serial Number'

Hi CrazyTalk users out there,

I recently bought a Genius web-cam, come bundle with it were the CT Cam Suite & CT Avatar Creator.

Tried installing the software and I could not proceed with both the installations when it install program asked for a 'serial number'. Checking on the install CD and the box I found at least 5 sets of numbers but any one of them if I used as a serial number gives me an error message a pop-up window with...

'Invalid serial number. Please try again.

Please note that there are no letters "I" or "O" of english alphabet in serial number'

and when I press 'OK' I'm able to try with another serial number but as mentioned, tried it with about 5 possible options and all gave the same message.

What am I doing wrongly? Where can I find the serial number? What format should it be?

Hello all - sorry if this is in the wrong place, just got here.

I am trying to install Crazy Talk 5.1 on a non-internet computer and the install kicks me out when it doesn't find the internet.

There is no option for this, the computer is a dedicated video editor and the IT folks are adamant about isolation from the internet.

Any way around the install ?

Just bought Crazy Talk for my home computer and loving it. That computer does have an internet connection so no problem with installation.

I want to buy a copy for work, however our workstations are not on the internet (and not set up to be connected even temporarily). Can I still (or how can I) install and run Crazytalk 5 on a computer with no internet connection?

Ican see and hear prsentation localy on my computer but not online on the webb. What is going on?i only see buttons its mean that my 2 files: test.flv, testStandby.flv are not connected (imported online shortcut) to my presentation. But why?am i missing something or what?:)

hope someone can help me, because Reallusion support for my problem

is either being ignored or they can't help me.

I purchased crazy talk 5, and it installed okay.

My problem occurs every time I try to open any image file for use in the software.

Once I click on the file to open it, Crazy Talk crashes, and I get an error message

telling me that CTMAIN exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. This happens

with any type image file on my computer, with the exception of the software characters.

I've unintalled and reinstalled the software many times, and still have the same problem.

Can someone on this forum help me out.

I am no longer to close or open Crazytalk5.0 in Vista. It also won't let me uninstall. I don't want to try uninstall from command prompt and DOS. Has anyone else had this problem?

Looking to purchase, have asked through support but have had no response in 10 days.

When download free trial of Crazy talk 5 try to install but get error
FEATURE TRANSFER ERROR
COMPONENT - CT51_ENU_DATA_COMMON_CUSTOM

ERROR = ACCESS DENIED

Downloaded and did as instructed so am unable to even assess wether the program will do what we are after.

If anyone in the forum knows of a way round or how to get assistance from support before purchase we would be grateful.

Sorry for my bat english , but i from belgium.

I have resently buy crazytalk 5 , and it wil not instal.

If it begin to instal then it says : online verification failed

Setup is unable to retrieve the information from internet to validate your serial number.

The problem may occur due to internet connection failure , DNS recognition problem , or firewal blokking . If you do have internet acces, please retray instalation on a later time.

I have internet conection , also i have closed my firewal and antivir , and then instal , but it wil not instal , and same message as above.:angry:

Problems opening Crazy Talk v5 PRO C++ error

I've recently purchased a copy of Crazy Talk v5 PRO and I've installed it onto my computer. Whenever I try to open the software, I get the following error message:

I've contacted the customer services, and they came back with a list of options, including:

[b]Solution 1:[/b] Disable the DLA service (if applicable)

I tried to do this but there was no option to do so on my "My Computer".

[b]Solution 2:[/b] Disable any anti-virus measures

Tried this, but same error message occurs.

[b]Solution 3:[/b] Run CrazyTalk from a new Administrator account

I can't do this option because this is a work PC, so this option is out.

[b]Solution 4:[/b] Update Windows and upgrade your graphic card driver to the latest version

I've checked for updates, I'm up to date.

[b]Solution 5:[/b] Microsoft’s issue

This option was to download and install a patch from the Microsoft website, which I tried to download and install. However when it was installing, I got the following message:

BIG problem with lunch ,,Crazy Talk Avatar Creator''

I bought a web cam, a ,,Genius" one (e-Messenger 112), and along with this hardware, in package, I have getting a CD with drivers and some utilities, one of it being this ,,Crazy Talk Avatar Creator ''. I installed all drivers and software from this CD. ,,Crazy Talk Cam Suite" , for example, it is working. But when I start ,,Crazy Talk Avatar Creator" my CPU is ,,busy" 50%, but I can not see the application, nothing is happened. Someone in this world can illuminate me, I have made an error some where ? Or, what it is happened? Sorry for my english, I do not abide to write in shorting form. Best thanks for your advices.
