iClone 4.12 patch - will NOT install!

Anyone else having a problem with this. Someone on this forum kindly suggested completely uninstalling iClone and reinstalling which I have done (and what a hassle as I have a lot of content). SO after all that messing about, which took an hour, I confidently DL'd the patch again (seventh time) and it still gets stuck after the "Do you accept EULA" screen"

Is it just me?

Hello all,

I ran into some trouble opening up [b]iClone 3DXchange[/b] after I installed the [b]iClone 3.2C (3.2.1526.1) update patch[/b]. I get an "Check CPU ID Error!" pop up which only let's me close out [b]iClone 3DXchange[/b]. Has anyone ran into this problem or have an idea on how to fix it? Appreciate any help :)

changing custom folder

i wanted to move my custom folder to a different drive after iclone 3 install - wondering if anyone knew whether we can change ini file or registry to point to a different custom folder other than the one used during the install process

Running Vista on a Sony Vaio dual core 32 bit laptop, Nvidia GeForce 8 Graphics card. 3.2 installed fine and worked great, at first.

Tried to render out a short AVI at 720x480 and it crashed giving me "Iclone Ap has stopped working" several times.

Uninstalled 3.2 and re-installed. Made sure both 3.2 patches were applied.

Tried to render again. Same AP stopped working message.

What gives?

I bought 4 contents from the Reallusion Content Store yesterday. They said that it would come in no longer than 24 hours. So, I waited... and now when I try to download the content that I bought, it always says an error has occured, and I am unable to download my content into my version of iClone 3.2 Standard. Can you please tell me what I amd doing wrong?

wierd G3 problem

I have G3 clonecoth for male installedm been using it for while
today i was going to use it and i noticed 2 of the characters - C247A_Trey_Casual_A did not have the thumbnail but instead had a generic icon - i tried to load it and got a 'not a valid' character message

ignored it for a bit, when to load the Try Overcoat 03 character, loads ok, went to material library to try to load the standard upper template so i can create custom texture but received an error message "Failed to Load Material, this is not a valid material file" so i am stuck

tried to re install (could not figure out how to uninstall), same results

any ideas?

Strange Problem with iClone3 pro

I toyed around with the demo version for a few days and I didn't have any problems with it, but after I purchased the pro version and installed it I'm having problems with the heads. If I add a head that the package didn't come with - one I created or one I downloaded as a freebie addon the face either turns all black or green with purple stripes.

I didn't change anything when I installed the pro version except uninstalling the demo version. Now I did try unintalling the pro version then reinstalling it and that didn't help.

Also, if I try to add a freebie character I downloaded they come out with their heads the same way - black or green with purple stripes.

I'm hoping someone else has had this problem or knows how to fix it.

G2 Clonecloth - Cant find fashion textures

I recently installed CloneCloth G2 and can see all the clothing designs (the white "model" figures with draft lines) but there are no new 20 fashion textures that I can see. Do I have to do something else to get these to show up when I search the tops and bottoms? Any help is greatly appreciated.

almost always when purchasing new content I would get problems when installing.

For a while that was being caused by some license problems, which I think got fixed now. I just send over 300 dollar to Reallusion and when trying to install what I purchased I get:

"iClone not found, purchase first"

anyone knows how to fix that? newest patch to iClone is applied and I never got that particular error before...

Hi,

Well, I upgraded to iClone 3 PRO, and I feel I have made a grave error in doing so!

The following has occurred as a result of this VERY EXPENSIVE purchase....and any help in how to rectify certain matters (*) will be appreciated. (Frack FAQ's. I didn't see what I was looking for there.)

1. Lost all my character creations, and custom made props. (To be expected) There weren't that many that I'd made, so it's not a question of heavy time investment. However, the next issue is probably the one that grates me the most....

*2. Jane and Jack Clone Cloths (overcoat, bodysuit, sexy) will not work. They show up as "invalid avatar", and will not work. Assistance/advice in this matter would be highly appreciated. Do I need to redownload the Jack/Jane Clone Cloths? Where can I find them, because I cannot find them in the iClone store?

3. Where can I find more 3D Blocks shapes? I was under the (obviously MISTAKEN) impression that there would be TONS more 3D block shapes available.

I apologize if this sounds terse, but , um.....spending 140 bucks to get this program, and now I'm having problems where there were absolutely NONE before......not exactly what I call a wise investment. So folks'll just have to forgive me if I sound extremely irritated. Assistance will greatly improve my feelings about this program upgrade, assuming that such assistance leads to positive results.

(sigh) Assistance will be greatly appreciated, and I apologize again. $140. Can you blame me?

i am just trying to install follwoing add on pack on iClone 3.

Character_Occupations.exe
Motion_Occupations.exe
Props_MedievalVillage.exe

However its giving me this wierd massage which says

Error code:-6

Error Msg:Failed to connect to web service,Please contact Reallusion tech support or try again later.

However i am concted to internet.

If you guys could help me then that be great.

Iclone 3.2 can not install

Hi,

I stumbled upon iclone and guess I would give it a try. When I install 3.2 on my xp machine, the first time, the installer asked me to select a location and continue. Since I interrupted the installer(because I thought it was not loading), the problem started. When I deleted all the files and tried to install it again it always sais:

After clicking ok, I get a windows saying

[quote]"The wizard was interrupted before, Iclone could not be completely installed. The system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run the installation again. Click finish to exit the wizard."[/quote]

I ran "registry machine" to delete wrong references and cleaned my PC, without any luck.

There is nothing wrong with my installer, because its working fine on my laptop. My guess is there are old traces of the previous install. Doesn anyone know how to delete them?

Vista permissions annoyances

Lots of people such as me liked XP and have resisted Vista, but you can't fight M$ forever.

After I was blessed with the Sony VGN-AW125J (man, it's nice!!), I got a taste of Vista's interference with one's work day.

I get stopped by the user account control police every time I run iClone3, asking me if I really want to do such a thing. I also get hassled for trying to copy files into the Program folders.

Worst of all, I was unable to update bitmaps on avatars because the temp folder was locked by the OS. I had to alter the temp folder setting in Preferences.

Is any of this going to be helped by a Windows Service Pack?

If not, can Reallusion ameliorate some of these OS annoyances? Obviously, they will present varying degrees of a barrier to product use, depending upon the sophistication of the user.

(PS 64 bits in Vista is cool, however--especially with Nvidia graphics!)

Moving Content From iClone2 to iClone3

If you had previously been running iClone 2.5 and had custom and installed content packs you may be wondering how you can get all your old content into iClone3. Well if you know how to drag and drop in Windows Explorer it can be done in a few minutes because both programs use the same file folder structure.

Just copy the content from the iClone2 folders directly over to the same named folder for iClone3. For example Props -> Props, Motion -> Motion.

Purchased Content Packs are installed in the locations below:

C:\Program Files\Reallusion\iClone 2\Template\iClone Template\

C:\Program Files\Reallusion\iClone 3\Template\iClone Template\

and your own Custom Content can be found in:

Windows XP

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Reallusion\Custom\iClone 2 Custom

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Reallusion\Custom\iClone 3 Custom

Windows Vista

C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Reallusion\Custom\iClone 2 Custom

C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Reallusion\Custom\iClone 3 Custom

Make sure you have backups of your content as a precaution. Also use Copy rather than Move just in case something goes wrong.

Serial Number its not valid, please contact Realusion

How to set preference to "pixel shading"?

But what when i have to wash the system an to install it again without web?
Is there a patch for it? You must know i have registered my boxed version,
but i think it would be better without it.

Problem with activating the iClone trial version

I've also registered and activated the software as per the sent mail from 'reallusion', but now when i try to run the software there is a window popping up saying "you are disconnected from the internet right now. Please check you internet connection and try later" even though internet is working fine.

Hi,

I recieved as bonus Jack Clone Casual, and Jane Clone Casual sets with my purchase of iClone 3 Pro. I guess everybody else also received the same bonus content.

The product does not mention that it is trial version anywhere and I have used it with several different textures, both made by me and also a set by Alley purchased from RA content website. Everything worked fine until now.

Yesterday, I bought a lower texture for the casual clone cloth for Jack from Backstage.

The product would keep on showing that it is trial version when applied to the Jack casual clone cloth.

I contacted support. Mick says that my record shows I have not bought the casual clone cloth, (I never felt the need being offered the same as bonus by RA with my purchase of software), and unless and until I buy the casual clone cloth for Jack, the lower texture I have bought, will not function.

So what's the meaning of the bonus pack with the software? And why should I need to buy again something that I already own legally?

There is something seriously wrong here. I have Vue, Poser, Daz, and other software. No company ever forces you to purchase bonus content. Bonus content is always valid and lawfully owned since it is a bonus attached to a valid purchase.

I would welcome the opinion of those who know better on the subject.

Dancing motions

Hello :)

I'm looking for a way to make a couple dance, waltz, so I downloaded on trial from backstage, wedding pack motions

1. The groom, dance together
2. The bridesmaid, dance together

In the preview window of backstage, it looks like these 2 motions go together, but when I try then out, the couple's arms seem to be in the right position to start with, but then they dance away from each other.

do I not have the right motions, or am I just doing something wrong?
help please :D

Final Render doesn't work for me

Hi everyone, I have a problem which perhaps someone could help me with. I cannot output a final render (with the Final Render option) in iClone. If I try to make images or a video, they just some out blank black, I can render out a preview video but that is all.My PC has a Pentium 4 - 3.40GHz. First I had a Radeon 9600XT 256 installed with the Omega drivers, final render didn't work. So I went back to the newest official ATI driver, this also didn't work. One weird thing to point out is this; When I had the Omega driver installed, I switched on everything I could find under it's tweaking options, mostly I think under the OpenGL and DirectX ones. When I did this, a yellow or red number appeared in iClone near the 'Quick Shading' button, but still, final render didn't work.So then I bought a (Sapphire) Radeon X700 256mb so that I could slightly upgrade my pc... yeah this didn't make any difference, it still doesn't work.I know my pc is fairly old, and these GFX cards are far from cutting edge new tech, but I still figured there must be a way to render out stuff in iClone. Can anyone help please?((PS- I also tried an even older Radeon card, but of course that also didn't work))

3-get error message about mismatch of serial and content
4-get really angry
5-contact support
6-wait and waste time

8-do all over again with next purchase

Quality of 3rd Party Sets

I apologize if this topic is posted in the wrong section.

But I was looking through some of the 3rd party iClone sets out there and was wondering why do alot of them look so dingy, dirty and dark? Sets that should have clean crisp colors have dark colored walls, floors and/or ceilings and the overall mood of the sets are very cave like. I have seen very few 3rd party sets that are crisp, clean and bright looking.

Why is that?

(I am new to iClone.)

Cannot install content

I recently bought and installed iClone 3pro and all the content it came with. Everything worked fine, so I decided to add some more content. Today I bought the following: Dream Girls + Stage Magician + Stage Dance in Continuous Shot + Stage Dances in Variety and The Show Host. But I cannot install any of it because I keep getting a message saying iClone is not installed in my computer. I checked and it is and working fine indeed.
I placed an S.O.S. to the support department and I'm waiting for an answer. Since all this is very frustrating, I wonder if someone here has had a similar experience and can confort me saying it all came to a happy end.

Hi all,

I uninstalled iClone 3 and CrazyTalk to a better machine and most everything worked Okay but the extra mouths and teeth shapes that are in CrazyTalk that used to be available in iClone no longer are and they have different file types.

I've either forgotten something I once knew or did something wrong in the reinstall process. It's just my [b]star[/b] Natalie misses her [i]risk taker[/i] gap teeth.

It took a while for me to notice till i needed to create new avatars...

So, what have I missed to get the teeth (and eyes) available to both programs?

Installing Updates

Hello,

I just recently purchased the box version of iClone 3 Pro. Upon attempting to install the Resource pack, I got the following message:

iClone v3.02:
The version of iClone on your computer does not meet the requirement to install this resource pack. Please update your iClone to the latest version before you install the resource pack again. The resource pack installation will be terminated.

or, I attempted to install the iClone v3.2 Patch set up and got this error message:

This version of iClone on your computer can not be patched by this patch installer. This patch can only be used to update iClone v3.1. The patch installation will be terminated.

Upon using the option provided to check for updates when I start iClone, the following results are displayed:

Official Release Version : 3.2.1230

Installed Product : iClone3 PRO Edition
Installed Version : 3.02.0828

Also, I purchased the Xtreme Elements 1 content pack and attempted to install that. The only thing that happends when I insert the disc into my drive is that is spins, but nothing happens on screen and the content does not install. I tried this on two separate computers with the same results. None of the 4 discs in the pack will install.

Needless to say, I am having trouble just getting things set up and am not very happy at the moment. Any assistance to solve these issue would be greatly appreciated.

Change language?

A friend from America sent me his version of iClone. The problem is that this is the English version of the program. Is there any possibility for me to change the language of the program into german without buying iClone again?
