Some of them are included in few Skintight Pack but I never really spent a lot of time packaging them into some sort of package.

It is true that some motion files are simply incompatible with iClone due to the nature of the skeletton body capture technology that was used but there are a wide variety of open source motion file that work very well, ..about 1000 of them to say the least.

Ballet ... Hum ... Got about 50 of those... I just need to find the time to clean them up a little..
I think I'll use a few Ballet motions for the upcoming Centurion DEMO... That will be an original way to demonstrate this stuff :)
Keep posted..

RE: 2000 brand new motions for Iclone in BVH format from TrueBones.Com

I have updated the entire MonsterBones MegaMotions Pak to over 2600 motions.

They have all been revamped and restructured to work better in Iclone.

Let me know if you would like a demo.

Cheers

RE: 2000 brand new motions for Iclone in BVH format from TrueBones.Com

Hi peaklevels Your enthusiasm does you credit and I for one enjoy seeing the fire of creativity crackle away here.I just want to say, personally, here we're creating many objects and buildings in an olde English and French Theme for publication in our own Movie. This, along with CloneCloth work is time time time. On your part, not one of the iClone community (word used VERY loosely :P ) would begrudge a token fee for a ten pack "Ready to Rattle Bone Pack" .Personally, if you put together, for our works, as we're now contemplating hiring Animazoo for a 5 minute long Twin Dance Ballet Sequence, but if you put together even one minute of Ballet and similar dance sequence I would be happy to lose one or two hundred dollars per minute varied non-repetitive ballet dance sequence. You make 5 and I'll buy them.I have enough to create the three scenes and almost enough footage to flesh out for impact.... Just, but with a few dirty fixes.BUt, if I could add variance I would willingly double the footage at a blink. Here, I can make a one minute dance sequence into three, then into nine simply by using different characters and then different camera angles and etc. 60 seconds is a superb arsenal. I would pay dearly.

RE: 2000 brand new motions for Iclone in BVH format from TrueBones.Com

Well it seems TrueBones BVH file animations are not so straight forward after all !!Does anyone have experience using the BVH files from Eclipse Studio in Iclone ?http://www.es3d.com/

RE: 2000 brand new motions for Iclone in BVH format from TrueBones.Com

The BVH converter actually works better with the James poser 6 sp2 profile. I have tried for a long time to use these motions and I am experienced in BVH and mocap. Have expensive software to edit mocap and I've have not been able to use many of these motions without a lot of trouble and in most cases was only able to use a small percentage of motions from any pack I purchased.

Don't mean to knock your product but it just isn't iClone friendly so I truly hope with help from this group you can get a bvh converter profile that works. I have a lot of useless bvh files laying around that I have purchased from you. Would really like to use them so good luck with this.

RE: 2000 brand new motions for Iclone in BVH format from TrueBones.Com

I am hardly an expert on this subject, but I have been reading the IClone help file. In Adding Motion to Character, Motion, Using BVH motion converter, it says:1. Use the Default Character named James in Poser.2. Apply a motion clip to James.3. Select File/Export/BVH motion... in the main menu bar.4. Click Scale Automatically button and save the motion file.Seems to me that if you can get your clips to work properly with James in poser, then you should be able to convert it to IClone. Hope this helps.

RE: 2000 brand new motions for Iclone in BVH format from TrueBones.Com
nigel (4/29/2008)
Thanks very much, but there are to many bones to fix. There are gimbal lock issues and pivot offsets on the rotations, creating all kinds of weird motions once imported into iclone. One thing I noticed however is that even thou the motions match after doing the offsets in the motion converter, the AXIS on each pivot do not. This could be because the motions are created with Y up instead of Zup or viceversa. :(Reallusion, can you please take a look at these motion files and see if you can fix this problem when we export motions to Iclone.Thanks,Stuckon3d

RE: 2000 brand new motions for Iclone in BVH format from TrueBones.Com

Hey Joe!Don´t work yet man! The feets are twisted and there is some crazy moviments at arms at breakdance.bvh.In Other bvh the feets are twisted too and the arms shaking at start. The mocap velocity is very slow when the play begin inside iClone.I´m starting to believe there is some bug when save at vsn encripted format in iClone...the bones look ok inside bvh converterI start a topic here asking for a solution to realillusion. and i gave some ideas to solution the problem... please read.one of them is a idea to load the mocap inside motioneditor and break the first frame and edit the bones to find a right offsets work... Are all your motions the same? where the ankles are not animated? or did you do that on purpose so people would not use them?

PS: If you know a better method to fix the ankle problem that would be greatly appreciated and a new customer out of me. :)

RE: 2000 brand new motions for Iclone in BVH format from TrueBones.Com

Unfortunately using the 0 0 0 settings still leaves problems with the ankles and neck. The neck is easily fixed with a 90 setting in RY but the ankle settings will still need fine tuning before the motions are fully usable.
