Is some one interested in how I-props and live props work in Iclone

I-props and live props can import motions if the bonestructure is the same. With the timeline you can import motions and change them in time. Even cut the motion to change the time for a part of the motion. This can make props do things you can not do with the perform functions.

Please let me know if this is interesting enough for making a tutorial about them. It will help you to not get disapointed after selling a I-prop or live prop with imported motions witch are saved in the prop. With perform you do not see this motions.

So, is anyone interested in the tutorial or is this already wellknown by the forum users.

New Version of POP VIDEO doesn´t do a thing. PLEAS HELP

Hi. I already sent a copy of this topic to the support team, but i would like to know if anyone else is experiencing the same BIG problem.

I don´t get it, i really need help.
There is a serious problem with PopVideo Converter.

Let me try to explain because my englih isn´t that good:

I bought Pop Video Converter half an hour ago. I just need it to import videos into iclone.

I tried to make a my first popvideo to use in iclone. But after i imported my green screen video followed with the masked video, when i click convert, it starts converting but it seems that is only converting the audio and finishes quite fast (wich i thought very strange). Then, when i went looking for the resulting popvideo file, there was none. I also can´t find the custom data folder for POP VIDEO i specifically decided where to put when i fisrt installed the product. I tried everything: Unisnstalling, restarting the computer, re-downloading and all. And it does the same (or better, it doesn´t do a thing) with iWidget. I don´t know what to do. Did i spend my money in a bad software?

One more thing: I also tried to reisntall, this time choosing the POP VIDEO CONVERTER VERSION ONE (before they made the new patch) and testing it. I then got the i widget working with my video (altough i still can´t find the custom data folder...but at least it made the i widget and i can see the file). I then installed the patch for the 1.15 version, and i got back to the beginning problem. Can´t make pop video or iWidget.

PLEASSSE HELPPPPP...i really need this, and i bought it especially fro the pop video...i have no interest in iwidget. If i was interest i iwidget i would be happy with version one. I THINK THE PROBLEM IS WITH VERSION 1.15. Please check this if you have version 1.15. and tell me what happen with you. Thanks a lot. I´m a bit disapointed at this time.

first of all, sorry if my english... isn´t the best.

I created this post because i think Machinima has became serious in the latest years, with tools lke Iclone or Moviestorm and the arrival of free 3d software like blender and let´s not forget the pre-production tool called Celtx. Many of us have thought about (and some are already doing it) making money while having fun...that´s what we all would like to do for shure.

So, i thought it would be fun if we use this topic to talk about that. Who is doing it and how? What markets would benifit from our Machinima? Let´s find inventive ideas on how to apply our Machinima knowledge and share it with others. I myself got a job thanks to a machinima tool and i´ll you all about in my next post as i have to go out right know...but please start posting your ideas and storys. It should be a fun topic.

I have lost one account because of RL servers inability to answer...

This also creates another question that is very interesting in my eyes. If Reallusion for any reason fold or close down, every system and all bought content will be useless. So if you had plans to use iClone to render intros, buttons, info and a lot of other pictorial material. None of this would be possible, further on even if you have a working program protected and cared for, content will be gone as soon as any reinstalling is needed..

This is a very interesting little detail that we all should think about, ANY problem from RL side and we are out of software and content and that can happened over night.

Since iClone don't have a failsafe in a serial number system that act on it's own like Poser and Animation Master and lot's of other software, every dime put in this system will be obliterated.

If my sole interest in iClone was to play a little from time to time I see no real problem here, but as a company leader it is an issue that must be dealt with. I would rely like to get a reaction from Reallusions side, since this must exist in their agenda as well as a risk or as a calculated thing!

I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with this trial / watermark on content items which I have previously purchased from RL and installed on my computer. Some prop packs have many individual items, motion packs are often large and so far the worst seem to be the texture packs some containing hundreds of items. All need to be initially loaded individually into a project whilst on-line to prevent the watermark appearing subsequently. What a Chore !!!

The situation has been exacerbated with the relevant RL server currently being down. On Friday evening and again this morning the internet connection produces an error message and I have been unable to free my content items I wish to use in IC4 of the watermark.:angry:

I fully appreciate the need to protect unauthorized use but this system seems unduly cumbersome and penalises the very people who have made legitimate purchases. Is it beyond the RL team to come up with some sort of “Batch processing” routine so that content from our IC3 folders can be transferred to our IC4 upgrade without this annoying and time consuming imposition ?

The key word is 'patience'. I know Reallusion is trying to sort this out so I'll wait for the fix to come through.

All you have to know about DRM and product activation

Dear users

Installing iClone and purchasing & installing content from Reallusion is verified with Reallusion’s DRM (content registry) system. When content is first purchased, installed and activated, that content will be verified by Reallusion via internet and will be registered for that content being matched with the Serial Number (SN) of that version of iClone that it was activated. If a user had purchased and had been using DRM protected content, and for some reason Reallusion’s server goes down; this would not be problem because the online registry system is only checked the first time content is activated inside of iClone. Therefore, the user could continue using that content without any hindrance.

As for using iClone application, at no time does iClone require a connection with Reallusion’s server, except for when contacting Reallusion for updates at iClone’s startup (but again, this is not a requirement for iClone’s operation).

Therefore, if a user had purchased iClone3 and then purchased DRM protected content, the activation process would have the registry system match that content with iClone3. If a user wishes to open that same content with iClone4, the iClone4 AP will have to check with Reallusion’s registry server once in order to activate the content in iClone4. When the content has been successfully activated in both versions of iClone, the content can be used for either version without evoking DRM Protective Watermarks.

This issue came to surface this past weekend when Reallusion’s Server Provider went down. Therefore, first time purchasers or users trying to open iClone3 content with iClone4 viewed watermarks. Again, this will not be the case after all DRM protected content has been activated at least once within all iClone versions.

What the Heck is going on...

Just what the heck is going on here, as you may know iv made several posts regarding Element 5 and the charges placed on content.I now find out that they do not concern themselves with conversion rates from pounds to dollars and other currencies but also find out that if I choose the option to display the price of content I buy from the Reallusion content store in dollars rather than pounds I reduce the price of a $199 package by £25 (remember this is just display the amount due in dollars not pay in dollars).I recon I have bought around $1000 worth of content (may be more maybe less but I will bechecking) and have always displayed the amount due in £ not $ therefore paid £25 extra for every $200 worth of content bought.. No wonder I cannot afford the content from the content store with DODGY stuff like this going on, so far I think Iv been fraudulently charged around £100. I have taken this up with the esailes team but have not had a reply. So to anybody buying from reclusion for god sake make sure you select display in dollars the amount due or face a hefty £25 for every $200 spent.I hope to god that Reallusion have no role to play in this and it is just an Element 5 issue.

Gravity and Collision Detect

Just curious if IC4 can support these features then I have found my new software.

Does IC4 support gravity, collisions or weight effects.

Example.

If I drop an avatar onto my scene and a box can i give the box a weight percentage so that when i direct the avatar to push the box the kinetics of the avatar will reflect the weight of the box.

Collision detect.

Can I have collision effects, say prop 1 hits prop 2 then prop 2 will react based on the gravity I have set. Thanks!!

How do I get my 3d Exchange exports to go to Iclone 4 custom folder?

Whilst I love the iclone products...I have NEVER in one year had a reply to any email to iclone (and there other names) Its so stupid. Such a great business with NO ONE AT home. I have just bought iclone 4 and now my Rock Band can't be used...it say "on Trial" !!!! excuse me ...I spent the dosh right at the start...and have been using it in iclone 3.... It is not showing on my purchases on line so I can't download !!! I just wonder if anyone will reply to this. £1 = US $ 1.6331 , I go to the content store to look at buying iClone Combo Pack: Machines of War Theme Pack + Direct Access Credit: 5,000 Points at including vat USD 237.94 which converts to £145.69. that I would have payed but...

Is it just a 3D modeling app like 3DS Max or something like that anyway? Can the objects in that be used in iClone without going through the 3D Exchange? I mean, that'd make sence since they'er both from Reallusion... Does that render 3D objects in realtime like iClone?

I may just toy around with it for fun just to see what it is but I'd like a bit of info on it or at least a few demos of someone using it.

Hi,

The recent change to the Premium Members page has seemingly caused some confusion. To access the upgrade options and bonus content you need to do the following:

Once you login to your Premium Members page you will see a screen like this.

On the left side of the screen will be the options as seen below. Select Registered Programs.

Then Select iClone (or Crazytalk etc).

You will then see the Registered Products list like the picture below.

From here click on Bonus & Upgrade (Details is no longer shown above) to display the Product Information which includes, extra download links, upgrade offers etc.

Remember the screens you see may not be exactly the same as above because they vary from member to member but access to your Registered Programs is still found the same way.

I hope this makes things a little clearer. :)

Hello everyone im really new at this and im trying to fix a problem im having,im working on the the model that has the 2 dogs in it.i add the audio to both dogs, but you play it back you hear a clicking sound ,i know its coming from clicking on the mouse when i stop the audio for each dog.can someone please tell me how i can edit it at the point when i click on the stop record button.im using a head set with i mike.i need this problem fixed kind of fast its for my kids school project..thanks to anyone who can help me solve this and God Bless Joe:)

This question has been Posted before, by another Poster & Replied to by Peter Edwards, who stated that the "Skin"? could be changed, via a Setting in Control Panel. I couldn't find it then & still can't.:unsure:

Is ICLONE 4 delayed?

Like many, i´m eagerly awaiting for the latest version of iclone. But unfortunely, Reallusion isn´t showing us much and there´s anything new on IC4 since almost to weeks. In think that´s strange that no one from reallusion has anything to say to users about IC4. Is it being released in the next days as promised or will we have to wait even more? There´s no more new videos shoing off the new version?

Many people (like me) finnaly decided on commiting to IClone after knowing the news on the new capabilities of IC, like video layers and such and and would really like to know more. I can understand that maybe there is a small team behind the software and all that, but you should at least publish something new daily on IC4.

Sorry if i seem angry, that´s not the case. My english isn´t perfect so it is possible i´m not explainng myself in the best of ways.

I just feel Reallusion should work better on the marketing of their tools and on informing their clients well (good tutorials is another problem...but that´s another subject).

Ok, after the critiscism, i should end saying that i´m in love with iclone and Reallusion do a great job on developing it. All the best to the Reallusion team, and...please give us IC4 soon (or at least keep us teasing with all the great new features).

OH, and have i asked when can we get our hands on IC4? Please tell us all and finish this torture.

Render Output Quality

Hi,

I've currently being evaluating iClone and messing about with it's features. In general, it seems it's almost what I'm looking for to do what I'm endeavouring to do.

However, I have one issue. That issue is with the quality of the render output, which IMO isn't great. I've been looking around some screenshots on this forum and they all seem to show the result I'm hoping for. Unfortunately, I've been unsuccessful in getting the look I want.

Does the render quality and functionality improve in the pay versions of the software?

Am I able to use an external renderer (e.g. REnderman)?

Can someone point me to some resources to help me with my issues.

Hi everyone. Sorry if my english is not so good, as i´m portuguese.

I´m really falling in love with iclone, but...there is always a but.

The tutorials are few, and many of them seem outdated (for iclone 2.5). Also the ones on clone cloth are good if you know how to work well with photoshop (i can do simple things, but that´s it). I would really like a tutorial about how can i take a photo from a shirt or some trousers and applied it well to a clone cloth. Can someone do it? I would really love to know hot to do it...i ´m even willing to pay for it if that´s what it takes.

Ok, now some critical opinion on Reallusion and the tutorials:

I can´t understand why a software so good as this one do not have the same quality on the tutorial support. Just go on you tube and you´ll see that the better tutorials on this are for iclone 2.5 or older. It seems Reallusion feels their customers stoped there and they don´t need to teach anyone else.

Well...ok, i´m not talking about the excelent tutorials from ICLONE CERTIFIED TRAINING (By the way, anyone know why it stoped working last May?...such a good training site should never end)

Please understand Reallusion that if you don´t make new users happy and learning well...you´ll eventually stop having people buying or upgrade. Yes, yes, i know that people learn by experimenting and that´s all good, but that can´t be an excuse for not developing good tutorials. If you build a great tool like iclone or crazy talk and people buy it, they desearve more support on learning. All the great software tools have nice manuals and tutorials...iclone has a not so good manual and only a few nice tutorials (and others that seem only a video promotion packaged as a tutorial) and thats it. And it´s not just me saying it, i see many, many topics in here saying exactly the same.

Not all is bad in this field of course, because there are always helpfull people in the foruns, and threads like the AnimaTechnica (aknzrdude)'s Production Diary (and others) are fantastic, showing that there are still people willing to share and happy to help others. But shouldn´t be Reallusion the first one to help their customers? I hope they eventually understand that they must.

turn off sounds

how do i turn off all sounds so they wont be in rendered animation file ,, some sounds from stock props like clouds or whatever seem to be playing when i play back the rendered avi file. How do i get it so they wont be included in the final animation so when i use video editing software i can add my own music.

Will CrazyTalk 5 Pro remain available

A few months ago I got CrazyTalk 5 standard edition and it's proved both entertaining and useful. My original plan was to at some point upgrade to CrazyTalk 5 Pro but now that version 6 is available I'm wondering if that will still be possible in ??? months when I can do so.

Because my hardware is not capable of running CrazyTalk6 (I tried the demo version, it took ** 20 ** minutes just to start!) because I have to work within the limits of a single core Amd Sempron 2400+. This means that If I *DO* manage to become able to upgrade to pro, it's gonna have to be 5 Pro, not 6.

Will this still be possible? I've noticed that the reallusion site has already had almost all mention of Crazytalk 5 removed from it.

Can iclone 3 be on 2 computers

Altough i´ve been around for a few weeks, after finally buying iclone Pro and Crazy talk pro, i remembered i didn´t introduce myself yet to what it seems a great and supportive community. So, hi everybody and i hope i can be one more icloner helping the community in the future. I was a Moviestorm beta tester (i´m now what they call a pioneer) and i even use Moviestorm professionaly, as i am responsible for the multimedia contents on the website of portuguese sports newspaper A BOLA (news flashes presented by an animated character and edited - and with my own voice over for the man charcater). I´m now thinking of using iclone together with Moviestorm in the future, they are both great tools. I know about iclone for a long time and i even tried an old version for a while, but i always though it lacked some important things. Version 3 was what made me thing about buying it (and because they promise update to version 4 is free). It was difficult spend the money (as this is something i did for myself and was not payed by the newspaper) but i´m really happy i did it. I see some familiar names in here and that´s just one of the things that make it great. Moviestorm and iclone are just tools (altough they are great)...the important is what we make with them.

Thanks everyone and i will continue my iclone learning...and having real fun doing it. I will be writing again with many questions.

I am working on the prequel to [url=http://www.tmunderground.com/watch/8ab9159f51fd0297e236/Black-Widow]Black Widow[/url], a movie I made a few years ago with TheMovies software.

There are a few characters that still need to be cast, and this is an open call for auditions for anyone who is interested in participating.

1) Jerry (very sincere) - Early 20's. Sample Line - "I can't imagine anything better!"

2) Ricky (cocky) - Over 25. Sample Line - "Hey baby, come here often?"

Cant seem to hide teeth

I am a new user. Working with a face with the mouth slightly open. How do I hide the teeth please? They seem to move with one of the lips and seem slightly odd.

Hope you are listening, Visconti and Peter Edwards.I was going to buy Iclone, but after seeing a myriad of problems people have, and they are repetitive, I will NEVER deal with a company that takes your money, and leaves you out in the cold. Peter Edwards - you must be sick of hiding behind lame excuses which act as " solutions " to peoples' problems. Are you not embaressed to be part of such a SCAM ?? My favorite one is . . " try and contact Support, as they should be able to help . . " Yeah, right.Which millenium would that be ?First thing that got UP my nose, was, that we need to be connected to the internet, to be zapped into your database. What if my Graphics machine is seperate to my internet machine ?To hell with Iclone aXXholes telling me how to organise my computers. And this paranoia continues, with registering add-on packs !! Anyone would think that we were registering the British Crown Jewells or Fort Knox !!Then there's the myriad of problems regarding add-packs not working, more registration problems, a site that is impossible to surf through, making you go around in circles, problems with purchasing, etc etc. This company is the BIGGEST DISGRACE of all time, in the history of mercantile trading.So, my good people, Visconti and Peter Edwards-instead of hiding behind your mindless dribble, such as " should be fixed with the next patch ", how about standing up, looking at yourselves in the mirror, and ask yourselves " do I really want to represent such a dis-figured,un-organised, chaotic, customer-scamming company " ??I feel sorry for anyone that gets sucked in by your crap, and the money that this company takes from them. Yes, truly a company from HELL.

to install iclone , and prop add ons , to new computer can someone explain the proceedure. I assume i have uninstal first on old computer , but what about the add ons ,,, if there is no uninstall and how to they re register again etc.. sheesh what a nitemare this is going to be i can see it clearly
