Download free 3D resources from the following sites
Note: download models with .skp, .obj or .3ds file format, and choose low-polygon models (usually file size under 1MB) to keep iClone with real-time rendering performance.

I guess the obvious answer are the World Wilderness Scenes for sale by Reallusion. They are not really that expensive but there is a cost. Also, if you go through backdated Newsletters of Reallusion, they offered some free for download. Also, if you are a Cool Clones member, they would have some 3D scenes available for download.

See 1 about 3d Scene software, see 2 for a BUNCH of links

1. http://www.scenomics.com/
Terrain generation software - free version - have not tried it - looks complex but useful. Collada Export.

Loads of 3D links here. Some Poser focus, but alot of free 3d objects and stuff - I think it is the biggest 3d link collection I've come across.

@Alley: Thank you for your recommendation - I checked the Reallusíon scene packages but I am afraid there is nothing that solves my problem. I am looking for some basic landscapes like deserts etc.

@ipiazzo: I will check the download link you gave me. I tried a free version of "Bryce" today, which would work, but I can export only objects not the whole 3D-scene.
