It goes up into the splash screen and loads perfectly fine until it hits the "Load Project" text and then just closes. I tried to research about it and turned off DEP for it and it still doesnt load up.

I have the iClone 3dxchange and it works / loads perfectly fine.

Any tips?

There could be many reasons for the problem but you will need to supply more information on your computer specifications first.

The main thing the ensure is that your computer meets the minimum requirements. Very important is to make sure your graphics card is on the supported list. You can check these from the link below.

http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/ic_requirements.asp

When you installed iClone it should have run the Enviroment Checker which checks your system and displays a report on the features available to you. If you don't have the results from this check you can download the Enviroment Checker separately and run it by double clicking it.

Look to see if your computer passes the tests.

After running the checks and if all shows as ok then you should contact Support for further help. Use the Support form below for help.

I hope you get this resolved quickly.

If your computer meets the specifications and checks out with the Envirioment Checker then it could be down to outdated drivers. Try and see if there are newer drivers available for your graphics card and also check that DirectX is working properly and up to date. The Support page I gave above shows how to run the DirectX tests if you are unsure how to do it.

Without knowing more about your computer specifications it's impossible to say for sure I'm afraid.

Yes I passed the Environment checker and I have the latest drivers / directx 9.0c.

What other things did you need to know about my computer?

OS: Windows XP Pro SP2
2gb ram
p4 2.8ghz processor
7600gs nvidia card 512mb

I could run Maya's PLE and such. I could also run your guy's 3dXChange software. How do those 2 softwares differ from the iClone 2 studio?

Thanks for the updated information. It would appear your computer should run iClone fine so the problem clearly lies somewhere else.

Please contact support for further help. If you supply the dxdiag.txt log to them as requested they will check it for possible problems not obvious at first.

I'm sure a resolution can be found for the problem soon.

I also have problems with v2.5. Mine also loads, briefly displays opening screen, then immediately shuts down. Version 2.1 is fine, and works perfectly on any machine I care to run it on - ver 2.5 does not. I have latest hardware, fast processor, and always keep my drivers up to date. I have even dabbled with Beta drivers to try and get this software to work properly. I am in the IT industry and consult at all levels of Hardware and Software.

I can get most software to perform after tweaking, but after reading some of the other forums, and the MANY, MANY entries relating to the instability and failure of this piece of software, I have gone back to 2.1 which is stable.

Ver 2.5 is flaky at best, and if you "MUST HAVE" it, then be prepared to pull your hair out.

Whilst I am on my soapbox, I cannot believe a company can produce 2 products which cannot work with each other. Most of you will know what I am talking about.....Crazy talk 5 and Iclone 2.5.

I hold my breath on what Iclone 3 brings to the table.
