| I downloaded the newly revised G2 CloneCloth V1 upper body in hopes of getting rid of my character's super sculpted torso, but it looks the same to me, at least from the front. My character needs to be wearing a pirate shirt and vest and I have tried manipulating everything I can think of but I can't get his shirt to stop clinging to his huge pecs! Can someone give me step by step directions in very simple language how I might achieve this? View image of my pirate here (character on the left): http://www.outsourcing-news.org/pirate-image.jpg Many thanks!

| Hi, Changing the overall shape of the CloneCloth figures clothing to make it loose fitting won't be possible because this is defined by the 3D mesh of the clothing. Creating good textures can eliminate a lot of problems with the look of the outfit though. Take a peek at the Pirate Pack in the content store to see how these look to you. They are using the Casual CloneCloth outfit too. Pirate Pack Also within iClone you have the option of changing the overall body shape to one of 6 styles. These can be found under Character - Modify. Changing the shape may help your outfit look better. Alternatively you may wish to purchase one of the other CloneCloth outfits that more closely meets your requirements. You can take a look at them from the link below to see if they are suitable. G2 Characters Sorry I couldn't offer a simple answer to your problem. Pete

| Thank you Pete -- Can you figure out why I cannot make my white coat in this this image: http://www.outsourcing-news.org/coat-with-pecs.jpg look like this coat?: http://www.outsourcing-news.org/overcoat-no-pecs.jpg What I've tried so far: changing body type to each option available, buying pirate clothing pack, buying baggy sweater pack, buying overcoat pack with overcoat clone cloth. Baggy sweater clings to pecs and bags around waist. I see many examples of clothing on Jack all over the place in which the top is not clinging tightly - what am I doing wrong? My character on the right needs to be wearing a solid turtleneck without pecs showing. Should I send you my iClone file to check - is it something I've done? THANK YOU.

| Hi, If you are using the Jack Overcoat CloneCloth template to base your work on then the look you get should be the same pec wise with the white jacket. The Overcoat CloneCloth doesn't really lend itself to a turtle neck because the neck is not tight fitting as it would be with a sweater. You can get a reasonably realistic look by using good texturing and shading to define definition though. Just making it plain black or gray will not look right. Also adjust the lines of your opacity maps to get a smoother neckline. A jagged edge spoils the illusion. Look at some of the pre made CloneCloth outfits to see how the textures and opacity maps are done to get a good starting point. Try to find some good quality clothing photos to use in your texturing or take some yourself using a digital camera and get a friend or family member to model the clothing. It just takes a bit of practise to get good results. Hang in there. Pete

| Your statement: If you are using the Jack Overcoat CloneCloth template to base your work on then the look you get should be the same pec wise with the white jacket. makes me think there is a problem with my file or I'm doing something terribly wrong. Why doesn't my white jacket look like the white jacket on the reallusion website? I used the overcoat clonecloth but have huge pecs. Changing upper body types does nothing to the huge pecs size. (The other suggestions you made about cleaning up the neckline are likely easy but I'm just trying to get rid of the pecs right now- BIG challenge!) I am launching a website with these characters to a group of about 5,000 on May 14 and my boss says there's no website launch unless I can get rid of the man boobs! H E L P!

| Hi, Sorry to hear that your problems with the pecs continues. If you load the sample White Jacket figure entitled Jack Clone Overcoat A into your scene, does he look the same from front and profile views as the image below? If so then is this the shape that you consider to have man boobs? For me it doesn't look like that but we all have different opinions. Alas the mesh shape can not be changed to reduce this effect. If on the other hand your character does not look like the image below then there must be another reason for the shape change and we will need to look at this. Perhaps you could post a similar picture to my one showing a front and side view so we can compare them. If you can reply and let us know we can hopefully help further. Thanks for your time. Pete

| Hey Pete, thank you very much for your time and efforts to help me resolve this. Here are 2 screenshots of the Jack character using the overcoat and in the default motion position... I don't think it looks like your sample.. do you? In the second shot I clicked on the "argue" motion which I what I need for my movie and look what happens! What do you suggest? Know of any quick workaround so my project can stay on schedule?? Thanks again - Emily

| Hi Emily, It looks like the shading is different in your shots rather than the actual dimensions which could be down to the graphics card used, graphics settings or the lighting. Under preferences (the hammer icon) do you have pixel shader selected? Also what texture size are you using. I use a setting of 2048 x 2048 which gives a nice sharp image in the preview window. Obviously the higher setting will impact performance on a slower computers but give it a try to see if it helps. If you would like to send me a sample project where the problem shows up so I can check it out I will gladly do so. You can send me a Personal Message will the file attached (zipped first is best).
