| | Hello everybody, I bought the horse pack and I have tried a lot to get my horse to walking. I downloaded the tutorial but I don't understand everything. Step 1 and 2 = no problem. Step 3 is my challange. See the bold words. My English left... Now that the horse has animation applied to it, you need to move the horse forward in the scene to create actual movement of the prop. Move to the end of the project and then select the horse and move it forward across the scene. Time your key frames to coincide with the clip animation. To make sure your animation clip carries out over the entire duration of the project, scroll over the right side of the blue GALLOP animation clip until you see the ARROWS icon, click and drag to lengthen then animation. Click PLAY to review. What does it mean: scroll over the right sight... until you see the arrows? I tried like the picture says but there are no arrows / no icon. What do I wrong or what do I need to do? Thanks for your help, René

| | Hi Shy, hello Steven, thanks for your reply. I attached a screenshot as a .pdf file. Do you mean I shall pull the blue ones in the field where the horse stands? René

| | Hi Klobi, I think you may be confused between the two meanings here. The horse animation and the movement are two different things. The part of the tutorial you mention is referring to the length of the animation itself. You can drag the end of the animation to make it longer. That it all that means. The actual movement of the horse is controlled under Scene - Props - Modify - Adjust. From the adjust panel you change the postion of the horse to the desired location. So a simple process would be. Load the horse and turn him to 270 under modify. Open the Timeline, select the horse and apply the Walk animation. Move to frame 90 on the Timeline. Under Scene - Props - Modify - Adjust, move the horse to the left -300. A keyframe will be placed on the timeline at frame 90. Now when you play the animation the horse will walk a small distance to the left. Doing this simple process should give you the idea of how it works. From then on you can make the animations longer and more advanced by combining different animations. klobi (4/3/2008)

| | I to cannot get the horse to walk. Is there a tutorial that is much more detailed? They need to understand that i never used animation before and they really need to make these tutorials as if it's talking to a dummy. |

| | Hi Rehdogg, The problem many people have is that once you get iClone and see all the amazing stuff it can do you want to jump in and try everything at once. This just causes confusion and frustration. The best way to get acquainted with iClone is go through the Getting Started section of the help guide very slowly. Make sure you understand each part before you move on. Once you have the basics understood then go through some of the video tutorials on the more advanced features. Watching someone go through it visually helps first, then go through it yourself with the PDF written version at your own pace. The Getting Started section is just that. A beginners guide to iClone. Give it a try and see if it helps. It will take time to master everything but you will get there in time. Good luck, Pete
