I'm following this tutorial using Genesis 2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xPLOJlyxgg

Now when I get to the part that says to press the button "Edit in 3DXChange" to send the character into Pipeline I don't have this in Iclone 6 Modify panel. Will appreciate any help.

The iClone 6 avatars cannot be edited in the current version of 3DX. But there is a way to send your animations.

Load your Genesis 2 avatar into 3DX and let it do the auto-convert. You probably want to fix the fingers as well, but it may not really matter for animation output.

Export your Genesis 2 to iC6, but also keep 3DX with your avatar in it open.

In iC6, do all your animating and clip collecting.

Find your clips in your content manager/custom.

Select them and drag-&-drop them into the motion library in 3DX. The animations transfer from iC6 just fine, just not the avatars.

Squeal in delight! BigGrin

I tried to get the captured motion from ic6 into 3dx but had no luck. I got this message.

"1 invalid animation file(s)."

Any suggestions.

Thanks,
Craig

Yes, I get the same error. Plus Reallusion support confirms this cannot be done until 3DXchange 6 comes out this second quarter. There should be a note clearly stating upgrading 3DXchange 5.5 to Pipeline won't allow for export. That's the only reason I just paid $149.00 for this upgrade when it showed up as my available upgrades. Is there a way I can get a refund?

Well, that's curious.

I was able to drag all of Heidi's motions (from motion/heidi/perform) into 3DX no problem, but when I actually did a collect clip, it failed as such. They must be older motions.

Sorry about that. It seems to work half-way.Blush

I believe there is a 30-day refund period. Probably best to contact Support: http://www.reallusion.com/CustomerSupport/UserEx/QForm.aspx.
