I'm teaching you too much, I may have to start billing you When people spend time with me in a closed room, only one person walks out at the end of the session as a well regarded teacher..... It has not changed in last many years, and probably it will not in near future.

Swooop! Buddy, SO thankful!! Wow, this place always impresses, so kind! I watched both videos, and I can say that I understand now, and it helps to know I was doing things correctly. HOWEVER! Here are a couple of questions which would be awesome to have answered: 1. When I import a .max file, all textures, materials are applied, everything looks beautiful. 2. When I export it as a .obj and re-load it in, all textures have to be re-applied... my question is why? We already have the beautiful model in .max, why can't we simply export? It's like we have to "rebuild" the obj. 3. The creators of my object supplied me with .obj, .msx, .3ds... but why? The .max is the only one that holds the important stuff! Thank you so much!

Hey there,
I tried your suggestion but no luck!
I load in the .max, looks great, save to scene, scene assests, along with all .jpgs and .mt file, but when I export as a .obj and load back in, none of the jpgs or mtl's appear, just weird colored objects.
