Thought I would bump this thread... because today I just paid my credit card balance, which I do each month. I use one credit card for my online purchases to keep things simple.

So, it does matter about when you pay for things. My charges to Reallusion over $320 to comply with promotion. I could have used my money for an additional month, because my payment date is the 19th. If I could have waited until the new date, it would have been the 19th of December before payment.

I probably would care less, if i made payments and never cleared my balance. That is how the CC companies keep people in their pipeline. I refuse to be a slave to the CC companies, having them tell me how much credit I can have and coercing payments out of me.

So, yes this promotion was a bummer and it needed to be aired.

Yes, I did get immediate delivery of the content items. I would have been more favorable towards the promotion, if I has an immediate need for the content items. In other words, it was probably not a bad deal for my icloners who needed to buy content anyway.

RL should be more cautious in the future about these kinds of promotions.

There is a totally different marketing strategy applied to this extension that a guy like myself has to deal with that others who caught the 1st preorder campaign didn't consider as a benefit, the extension preorder has to be purchased in one order, at least the other marketing strategy let you pay on it. Not everyone has a credit card to make one lump payment, some people have debit and had a chance to make payments, so the 1st campaign was good for them, should of used debit rampart that's all. Only those who use debit for e-purchases are truly free of credit payment slavery, try Paypal.

It sure will be nice when people realize that nobody made them purchase anything. They did it of their own free will as adults.
It seems that some want to turn this around and pretend that reallusion made them use their credit cards and not they are blaming the company for the purchases they made.
Would be nice if they were responsible for their purchases and would just leave this thread of winners go away.

Not sure if it is right or wrong, but surely this time extension was "successful" (from RL point of view) to attract new "investors": one is me, who has just added 100 bucks and extended from IC6 to IC6+Indigo render engine
Now I have no more excuse to move for a powerful PC...except the "little" detail that we just bought a house, so we will be short of money for more than a while... but that's just a detail: my wife will surely understand that "WE" can't live without a IC6/Indigo-enabled PC
