Hey Ken did this little tutorial for you that may or may not help in some way.
Hate for you to get too bogged down buying stuff and learning a lot of other programs just as you get started in iClone...iClone can be tough enough to learn. Sure at some point you'll want to add more skills and products but maybe you can get what you need done in iClone for now.

You mentioned wanting to have an island in a shot. Well here's one way. It may not be what you were looking for but maybe it will give you some ideas....BigGrinBigGrinBigGrin

Thanks here also Mark, Your tutorials are always helpful and informative. Keep em coming please.

@Mark,

I loved your creative use of the trees... sinking them down into the ground and using the tops as shrubs and bushes.  Very clever.

Super-duper Mark!

Always fun to see a pro in action. It is really cool how much you can do right inside iClone.

I'll just make a note that Mark was using the "Mesh_Medium" terrains, not the "Height Map_Large" terrains. The height map ones cannot be converted to props, although they can be used in much the same way for building islands.Smile

You could use two terrains flipped on each other for a cave as well.

Well, You, Warlord, Alley, Rampa, Kai, Bluemidget, and all of the others (sorry if I forgot anybody), make the best tutorials. You talk at a reasonable pace, and explain all the things we can't see, like which shortcut key you press to make the changes that we otherwise would not immediately understand. And as far as the 40 tutes, I have watched most of them and will be watching all of them. Too bad the day only has 24 hours and getting into 3D uses 36 of them. BigGrin Keep up the good work all of you tutorial makers. We really appreciate it more than you know. Wink

That has been bookmarked also. I didn't know about changing it to make it workable. I thought I just had to work with what I had.
Now I have a new project to play with.
the island i was talking about was for if I made the book I am working on into a movie. That island was covered with fog most of the time so it would have been easy for awhile until they got close to it. (All white).
Thanks again for the Tutorial.

That is a great site you have at SmallWStudio. I found the tutorial for making the room for my inn scenes they are almost all close ups of a guy sitting talking to another guy. The camera will switch from one of them to the other while they talk so i only need some background to blur behind them. Should work out fine.
I noticed there are a lot more there so I can spend a lot of time watching how to do things while my boy is in school. then maybe I can know more than him about how to do things on this computer.
Thanks again.
