Once I get my base model from Daz 3D into iClone 3DXchange 5 when exporting that file to iClone v5.4 Pro it give me an error. see pict (if you can see it)... and when I click okay the program opens and no model... if not here is reads "Failed to load the file. If this is a .vns file please swith to the Avater page and try again." If you are not the ones to help, please get me to the right people... Thanks. Lenden

Hi Lenden, Welcome to the Forum the current version of Iclone is 5.51.3507.1 Update Iclone and 3Dxchange to the latest versions, that is the most likely reason for any errors you are experiencing. Cheers

in iclone there are several ways,.... I personally use the "?" inside iclone - and select "Check for updates" - that will compare your current version, to the latest available version - and show you a download link. in 3DXchange5 - you select "help" - then "Check for updates" -- the other ways of doing it are getting it from inside your account, or you can start the "Live Update" software option under "reallusion" from your start menu

Lenden The biggest problem I see is you have a character that is over 300,000 poly. Try reducing it.

what cricky said. I'm guessing it might be more than that though, because sometimes 3DX will load a file that size ( depending on your system ) Try importing the character and hair separately - most, if not all the time, the hair is more than half the poly size of the model. I'm guessing part of the issue might be on your output settings. Otherwise the error for huge files is usually the software hanging and becoming non responsive. can you please post a screen cap of your daz export settings ? Cheers!
