When animating two (or more) characters who are interacting with each other, and you use the "Motion" animation panel, to switch from one character to another you have to:
  • Close the Edit Motion panel
  • Click on the other character
  • Open up the Edit Motion panel again

Funny, but when written that way, it looks a lot less annoying that it feels when doing it.

What I'd like to be able to do is LEAVE THE EDIT MOTION PANEL OPEN, and simply:

  • Click a different avatar and start editing his/her motion

When trying to do something like have two people hold hands, the constant closing/opening of the panel gets a lot more irritating that what it looks like here in this request.  I think it would be a nice convenience and efficiency refinement.

While the Motion Editor is open, you can change characters by selecting them in the Scene Manager. No need to close the Editor first.

Cool-o!

Seems it works with the other animation panels as well, but it will not have the same bone selected when you switch.

Oh, thanks for the tip.  I'll have to try that.  Smile

I wish it would ALSO do it when I click on the character in the main window.
