It is really frustrating that they keep removing the expressions and visemes. Alpha 8 RC 1 has them, but the model has no tongue. The 1.0 release has a tongue, but the expressions and visemes are disabled. Its kind of crazy making to try and use it so far. Clothing is a bit overly limited in it right now as well. But I do like it. Been playing with it, on and off, for years.

It is a great free program but the options in clothing, hair, and faces need a major update. Still, I cannot complain because it is free.
This guy found a way to make mods in makehuman for additional features.

He even provides a link to download a whole set of new eyes. This is the kind of thing we need for clothes. Also, I wish you could import faces.

gah, that's strange, I thought I just emptied everything out when Peter told me about it...Must be nsa or something!! lol - emptying it out again, thanks for the heads up. Huh ? what's makehuman ?? what discovery ?? update - ok i figured out what happened, i put the messages in my deleted box - but forgot I have to empty the trash manually...so I had no new mail but trash was taking up my space anyways! #derp lol

Makehuman will get a facial bone-rig in version 1.1. Right now, it still is mesh-morph only for facial stuff.
I requested that they implement something akin to CloneCloth a while back, but it didn't spark any interest. They seem to only want completed clothing without using opacity maps.

I started playing around with making my own phoneme morphs, it's not hard at all, the mesh is well made. Only problem I have to figure out now, is how to not have to do them for every different character you create - if i make one set of phonemes all based off of one build, then all the characters will morph into that face when talking lol

That's a place where the bones will come in handy. Modifications can be easily done in 3DX, or even iClone, to some degree.

i got a look at some of their bone deformations from another user that was doing it, not pretty. his face got all boxed up :x the facial rigging isn't hard at all, at least not now that i have the tools...but I'm pretty sure I'd have to mod that mesh some to make it more acceptable to work with bones, at least to me.
