You can do it in Daz studio alone too.
use the polygon group editor or what ever it is called now they keep changing names
to select hide delete hidden surfaces under the right click
can by surface name or select polys
line it up and size to fit Genesis, hide genesis by clicking eye icon
export it with no hidden clicked to get it in correct default position
re import delete original use transfer utility

How do you edit the mesh where necessary to fit the shape? Do you use deformers? Getting the clothing to "fit" the avatar without mesh editing has proven to be a challenge to me, this is why I use max to model/edit the clothing against the genesis shape before exporting.

look under edit geometry add smoothing modifier
then in parameters set genesis as your collision item

Anyone having problems with Gen2 eyes as well as lashes in 3dX? I'm forced to do all kinds of tricks with diffuse, opacity and tiling to get them close to original.
