After minor stroke and a heart attack it's good to get back into the making of Colour Blind.
After thumbing through a couple of British Railway Modeller magazines I cam across a nice little shelf layout that would be perfect for some of the British railway scenes in Colour Blind, and at the same time create a terrain that could be used elsewhere.
The problem was, Earthsculptor is not ideal for non square shaped terrains. Although I could model the terrain in Earthsculptor there is no way to have a plan on screen to work from. So I began creating the terrain in Sketchup using the Sandbox plugin.

The plan projected on the terrain for more tweaking. Structure and track placement holders in place to get the overall feel of the terrain.
To come: More tweaking, bridges and structures finalised. The terrain will be put into Zbriush for more finer tweaking for texture and to create a hi resolution normal map before conversion in 3DX. In Iclone it will be dressed with fences, roads, trees, grass etc.
