Hi! How can I animate a character so she is picking up a laptop? It won't be for the duration of the clip, she will put it down again, so I don't want to attach it to the character. I've tried locking the two within the layers, but that is not working for me. Suggestions?

In addition to "Attach," there is the ability to "Link," assuming we're talking about iClone.

The online HELP does a pretty good job of describing the differences, and that's someting I need to review again.  How do you know if you want to Attach or Link?

I do know you can Key Frame "Link," which is good when you don't want the laptop connected to the avatar the entire time.

TIP:  Options that are BLUE (such as "Link") can be key framed.
