Transparent Clone to make Ghosts

Category: iClone_Hints & Tips_Avatar

Q: I would like to create a ghost in the traditional transparent way.
I know about transparency mapping in the program but I can't get the head to become transparent. Any advice would be appreciated.

In the next days I will insert a transparent character on my site so you will see it But the way you can do it is explained on youtube.com Reallusion tutorials there you find the example of a leaf and with the same way you can create transparency because it works with color like black and white - the black part of a plane polygon become transparency and the white remain the object you need it is not very easy to do but it is very interesting and give you a lot of creativity opportunity

Any way with iClone you can make the whole body transparency but it is impossible to make a transparency face if you want to know more write me and in the moment I have insert my transparency example on my personal site I will advice you .

You can use the 0-man character. It will accept accessories and motions, just not vocal lip animation, which wouldn't be seen anyway if it's an invisible character. You could of course overdub into the music line what it would say at the appropriate time in the music string.

Change Hairstyle by O0pacity Map

Aside of using your sliders to modify the hair texture size, color, and contrast, you can effectively change the "style" of the hair by altering the opacity map.

Think of the opacity map as the barber, or hairstylist. The example below demonstrates how by simply painting an area of the the opacity map black in color to remove a portion of the default hair texture creates another style. In this example a Jennifer Aniston type hair style was produced trimming the front and sides.

Below is another example of changing the hair appearance using ONLY your photo editor. In the first image are the default hair styles, and in the one below it shows that Jack has aged and developed a sparse hairline. Jane has bleached her hair to revitalize her youth No sliders were used in creating these. Personally, I like to modify in photoshop, and then fine tune the texture afterward using sliders as much can be done tweaking the sliders to achieve desired effect.

Hope this helps explain the potential of creating additional styles from existing hair textures available. I recommend purchasing the Classic Cuts for more versatility, and they are at great pricing. Most importantly, remember to save the opacity maps/vns hair files that you have created, unlike I did making these   No worries though, I only need to open photoshop to cut some more hair
