THe horse isn't in my props - do I need to save it in from the scene?  Or can it only be manipulated if I purchase the horse pack?

You can find the horse prop from iClon 2.5 updated default project.
But the horse contains only two clips of animation.

If you want to animate it like the tutorial, the horse pack is a required source.
