Hello,

When i selected and modifed a character and rotated it , it worked fine. But now when I add another prop and try to rotate it, why does the character also rotate and not remain still, although I'm only trying to modify the prop and not the character

The same thing is also happening when I have a prop of ball and a 3d scene. Although the ball prop is selected and when i try to use the mouse to pick and move it, the ball doesnt move but the camera moves

To move items you use the MODIFY Tab, not the view screen.

As far as the 1st error you stated, are you certain you have the right item selected and that it isn't attached by nodal selection to the Character?

Check your timeline for what is actively selected. Movement of the mouse while dragging on the view screen moves the camera in the scene, that's the whole point, so you can adjust for different angles and camera positioning.
