If I understand correct I am forced to also buy CloneCloth to get some decent clothing? I am using the G3 characters and most of the limited available clothing does not work on G3.

I am a bit lost here. Is CloneCloth included in iClone or do I have to purchase it? I can buy CloneCloth at Reallusion for $129.-

Hi

Clone Cloth doesn't come with iClone, it is an additional pack but it is a fantastic tool.  It lets you create all sorts of clothing for both Male and Female.  There was a recent post on this forum which was answered by many users who all said it was the one add-on they valued most

You should also know that a Clone Cloth pack for G3 characters will be released sometime in the future, so not sure if you would prefer to wait for that.  The current Clone Cloth is for G2 only.

Hope this info is of use to you.

Shy

You can also buy Clone Cloth as individual packages - much cheaper that way. You may not need them all at once.

If you don't already have them, you can download CloneCloth Casual for Jane and Jack from the Content Store. These are free to download and will give you a chance to try out CloneCloth before you purchase anything. They also come with some sample outfits so you can see what can be achieved.

While you can't mix G2 CloneCloth with G3 outfits you can place a G3 head onto the CloneCloth outfits you create so you will be able to add variety to the clothing available.

Bonus Content.

So we have the new G3 characters, but because we cannot dress them, they are useless. Reallusion is so happy with G3, but they are not offering a complete package.

Is the same as buying the newest car. After buying you found out there is no engine. "Yeah, but you can sit in it." "The engine is coming somewhere in the future, but no idea when."

I think Reallusion should deleiver at least some basic clothing for G3. I think this is easy to do.

IClone is a good program, but Reallusion needs to pay more attention to the details. It was not ready at the announced date, bugs and missing options.

All the G3 characters that come with iClone3 are fully dressed and the uppers, lowers and shoes can be mixed and matched between them. The CloneCloth system is still at G2 level but is still fully useable with any G3 characters you create. So really I think it is a little unfair to say the G3 characters are "useless" because there isn't a G3 CloneCloth yet.

Take a look at the link below which describes how to use G2 CloneCloth with G3 characters.

Well, then you have to explain what I am missing here. First of all, there is no way I can figure out which are the G3 characters. The only thing I know for sure are the G3 nude ones. For the male nude, I can only use one jacket in the upper body section. The other are "not compatible." I would call this very limited. Or is there more somewhere?
