Ok ladies and gents I purchased this and playing with this. I may need a point in the right direction. Is there any basic tutorial for this? Basically I have taken some walls as an example from IClone 5 under props / Walls and floors and just basically applied the texture. However, in order to make buildings do I just basically string together walls to form basic buildings? I guess I am looking not just a how to as I know everyone is busy but a basic / summary.

One this I am having problem is building sets. When I put up a wall and rotate it 'sinks' below the floor / matrix. Is that normal? Not sure if there are any tutorials you can point my way to make weapos / clothes / etc/

Tks a bunch!

Dave

Stuckon3d has made some wonderful FREE video tutorials that will help you with the basics in many areas but also with building construction and construction with primitives (Iclone 3d blocks / Props) so start with :

https://forum.reallusion.com/Topic31003-33-1.aspx

As far as weapons and materials - you can constructed them from Iclone prematives (3d blocks /props) or you can get them from 3d exchange and google warehouse where you can choose hundreds of thousand props/weapon or most what ever you can think of from there - which I would recommend - you should be able to find out more about that at :

http://www.reallusion.com/reallusiontv/3dx/tutorial.asp

The basic tutorials will answer many of your questions concerning building items and or where to get them....as well as some necessary basic information......above all have fun......

Others in the forum may point you in better directions then I - So check out the videos and check back on this string for some real expert advise.

Thanks for taking the time...

These are excellent and wonderful post! I am ready now!

I did  something but not sure how to get rid of this setting. When I add a prop it is automatically has all the pivots selected. So for example if I rescale it scales the entire prop. How to I reset it so that a prop only has a single pivot point (if I want to move / scale / etc)

Tks!

Sorry

Yes - CTRL Q Selects the Gizmo. Then Select Move, Rotate & Scale Tool Bar Symbols.

Tip - If you have Snap to Grid Selected, Pressing the Shift Key enables smoother movement of the Gizmo.
