In response to the questions generated by my landscape and lights tutorial about customizing height map terrains in iClone. How to take a stock height map terrain and turn it into something else with your favorite image editor. This tute uses Photoshop but should work with any image editor. Very simple process to completely change a terrain in construction and texturing. Even though I use iClone 7 most of this should work in iClone 6 too.

Forgot to say... this tutorial requires no outside assets and can be done with stock assets or any textures that tile properly.

Brilliant tutorial Mike. This once again proves just how much can be created with iClone standard assets and any half decent Photo editor like the free GIMP.

Mike - EXCELLENT! Very sweet! Collecting your tutorials like a sponge - When I'm not on the mouse, I'm behind the mic on the air (30 yr jock) & you have an outstanding mic presence in your tutorials. It helps make them more digestible, and they are paced well. Thank you again, these tips are just what I needed. I have been working with iClone for 15 months now - long way to go. Thanks for helping us GET there! Will send results soon. ~Val~
