Hi,

I'm no expert at CT8, I only use it to create heads from photo for CC and iClone.

When I export a RLHead from CT8, embedded textures for Head and Body are 1024x1024 while I can export the same textures right from CT8 at 2048x2048 by clicking on the Texture icon in the toolbar.

Is there a way to directly export RLHeads with embedded 2048x2048 textures ?

If you export an RLHead from CrazyTalk 8.1 it will have textures of 2048 x 2048.

Try exporting the CT8 Sandra head and then drag this onto a CC character in iClone. You will find the textures are 2048 x 2048.

But with the heads I create from pictures, it does not work. I'm using 3072x2048 input face pictures, create 3d Actor from those, then export the RLHead.
Embedded textures in those RLHeads are 1024x1024.
If I click on the Texture button to export the Body and Head Textures separately, they are saved at 2048x2048.

This issue may be related to the resolution of the source images. However I have run several tests with custom made RLHeads and the textures in iClone 6 are always 2048 x 2048. Textures will be 1024 x 1024 in Character Creator by default but in iClone they are 2048 x 2048 for me. 

Are you checking in iClone or Character Creator?

Are you checking in iClone or Character Creator?

You are right, in iClone textures are 2048x2048, I should have checked in iClone too.
Then this is a Character Creator bug I believe, feel free to delete the FT 2271.
I'll post another one in the Character Creator section rather.

Ah! This is it.

Indeed the RLHead embed 2k textures, and by default, loading those into CC2, CC2 "expose" the head and skin textures as 1k textures. By simply opening the Appearance Editor, switching to 2k and unloading the Appearance Editor, then now CC2 "expose" the original embedded 2k textures.

Nice one Job! I've been a bit too quick on this one.

So, disregard my post and sorry for the noise, everything is ok with RLHead Textures and CC2.
