Light shining through character mouth, nose, eyes. Is there a fix??

So, after several days of playing with IBL I was able to create a nice outdoor scene with absolutely no lights. But then there is the sun of course so I dropped in one Directional Light which worked perfectly until I noticed that the light shined straight through the back of the character's head and out her mouth, nose and corners of the eyes. I am using a DAZ G3 character converted and dropped into Iclone. I've searched the web and this forum for the past couple of hours. Is there any way to fix this  and stop that light from shining through the head?  Iclone 6.53

Try enabling shadow in "visual" and within direct light settings.

Thank you 4u2ges but that was one of the first things I tried. All shadows are on and it does not make a difference.

Someone had a similar issue and I don't remember how, if they did, they solved it, but the first thing that occurs to me is to make sure all your object's materials have "two-sided" checked.

If you can't get this working you can always post a file to the bug tracker.

Turn on "2--sided" for your face material?
I remember fixing a problem like that once, and that might have been the fix for me.

i recall adjusting the shadow bias
in the shadow tab to fix this.
it been a long time since it was a problem though.

Oh Man! You gave the answer I would have. Wink

But yeah. Try setting the shadow bias to "-1". Another idea I had was to put a disc shape inside the head, just in back of the mouth. Hopefully that would block the light (if shadow is enabled).

And don't forget sometimes "Ambient" light levels can affect this too.

It seems adjusting the Shadow Bias does the trick. In my case -36 seemed to be the magic number. FYI - Making all material 2-sided had no effect. The only down side to this is that "ALL" shadows are adjusted which changes the look and feel of the entire scene. However,  in my particular case it turned out quite nice. Thanks everyone!
