It's quite simple really. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Reallusion\LiveUpdate\ and rename RLLiveUpdate.exe. I renamed it to X-RLLiveUpdate.exe and it never calls home.
There are 2 things to be aware of when doing this, The first is that you will need to constantly check both the Forum and your account to see if a new software update/patch has been released. The second thing to remember is that every new software release will install a new copy of RLLiveUpdate.exe during an update that needs to be renamed.
My main reason for disabling the updater was that updates were installed in the wrong order when several were available, and nothing worked. I just download the installer files from my account and keep them on an external drive in case I need to roll back a version for any reason. I just checked and see that I have every version/patch going back to version 2.
