The new PBR render engine in IC7 looks great and that is the main reason I use IC as it takes 3000 hrs to render out animations in other software.
Indeed... it's quite a wait.
...Constraints that are better than reach targets.
"Reach Targets" are created using Constraints.
Currently What's Happening: Your Hand "Reaches" for something.
1. The hand is "Orientation Constrained" to the object and you adjust it.
The "Hand" and the object it is to "Reach" does NOT have the SAME orientation axis.
The Hand will FLIP.... and you have no "Quick Way" to correct this.
We need the following: "ADDED"
1. Constrain between 2 objects (The Reach Object and the ROOT/HIPS) then "Adjust the WEIGHTING"
2. Add --->Up Node
<--- "To FLIP the Bone on x,y or z... (To Align the axis difference)
3. Add --> Source Axis's
<---"To FLIP it BACK" to MATCH its Parents axis!
Now the Reach Target will perform as desired.
The cloth engine works good enough but we need the ability to animate weight maps or better, actual pins that are key-frameable.
