I havelooked at the computer requirements for CT8 and iClone 6, but couldanybody recommend a particular laptop in the $550-$650 range.  I am going to use the software to develop oneor two characters and use CT8 & eventually iclone 6 to create sets to showreal videos.  Thank you for any responses!

Make sure what ever you get has at least 8 gigs memory, ""and has a dedicated graphics card"" supporting 1920x1080 standard resolution. like a nvidia 940m or better.
At least a core i3 i5 i7 CPU .

It can be any brand you like but make sure it has at least 8 gigs of ram and a dedicated graphics card.

I don't know if they exist, but I would try to get a laptop with a graphics card with 4GB or more VRAM as this will help iClone with larger scenes. The mobile version of the GTX 1000 series would be awesome, but they are not out yet, it looks like. The GTX 1000 series is more powerful while using less power so that's great for laptops. The second digit in the card tells something about the capabilities in the series: the higher the better. Usually you would go for "6" or higher for the second digit. So 960m, or 1060m once it has been released.

EDIT: I noticed your budget, so my recommendations may be out of reach. I would just emphasize that working with an underpowered laptop is very frustrating; I have experience with that and it wasn't a cheap laptop. iClone 6 is quite demanding, so it's something to be aware of. Is a crucial for you to use a laptop?

Thanks for the input.  I am trying to keep the budget under $700.  My main reason for using iClone would be to create an animated dog (not from picture) that would talk, dance, sing, walk, etc. and have it talk about a real video in the background.  I don't plan on gaming or making movies or multiple characters and scenes.  The character would be used on social media to promote a nonprofit.  Do you think one of the recommended computers would be okay for that?

I have a couple of other questions you might be able to answer for me:

.       These two videos aretwo directions I could go in to create the character I’m looking for:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkQ9kHA-QV4

This is a nice animated live dog with cat created in iClone.  I like that animation but would need to turnit into a standing character like a human with expressions and movements like ahuman.   Is there a way to do that?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSmCz0WvI-8

This video shows animated characters I could use but I wouldhave to have a proprietary one.  Could Icreate a character somewhat similar to these in the video maybe using CharacterCreator Creature base Gen3 or would I have to have one created outside of iClone?

2.      I know you can show background videos inpopVideo3 with a human character but can you have an animated character with anactual video in the background (like real shots from an animal shelter)?

Thank you for you help... it is appreciated!
