NOTHING CHANGED - WE ARE GETTING FANCY 360 VIDEO, but the what has been sold to customers still not fixed. That is annoying....
Issue : Load the scene "abandoned house" that comes with Iclone export sequence with plugin in set to 1920x1080 set to all frames.
Result: depending on how much memory you have it will crash after 50-100 frames (and yes enough HD space available
Problem : 2 cases with RL (even confirmed by RL that they could reproduce the issue) Feedbacktracker Issue raised issue 465 which is on hold for no reason Spent several hundred USD for Indigo Licenses, that I cannot use, as the export always breaks
RL Team : this is not acceptable, if you sell software for money, you need to make it work, or give the money back, or at least stop selling it. (The plugin works fine for single images but not for video!)
Machines : MSI Gaming Laptop, I7, GTX 1080, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 1 TB HD Acer Predator Helios 300 I7 10750H, 16GB, 1TB SSD, RTX 2070

The Indigo renderer does not do video. Check your GPU and make sure IC 3d settings are using the GPU not the cpu. Also all of your RL programs too.
Since IC 6 pro came out it has had some bugs that have been totally ignored by RL and the Indigo plugin still has them. One is the indigo menu box that keeps popping up on the workspace window. reported, reported reported and still here. Doh! That is so annoying. LOL
Also, try working offline and have the AV and such NOT running in the background. Perhaps that will help you? Every time we get an update from RL or Windows 10 (automatically) I must go back and reset my GPU 3d settings....Doh!
What is your computer sys? Ram? CPU speed/brand? SSD?
MSI GE66 Raider, Intel 10th Gen, I7, SC Turbo to 5.3 GHZ, 240HZ, 64GB 3300 Ram, 2x 1TB M2 SSD Drives, NVIDIA GPU RTX 2070/8GB, 55" Sony 4K Monitor External data drives total 7 TB. and an AUDIO Studio Recording system.

You are right Indigo only can do frames. To make a video Indigo renders frame by frame. But it does do this automized with a set of files (.igs files, and a summary file from the iclone plugin). If these files have been created successfully no problems with Indigo Problem is (since release of the Iclone-Plugin) that the Plugin itself crashes. And it was acknowledged by RL to be a bug.
It is simply based on RAM Memory issues (not HD). And the Plugin crashes when exporting the single frame-data for Indigo. Meaning Iclone crashes without Indigo running.
The plugin crashes on following machines :
2x8 Core Xeon with 32GB RAM and 2x GTX970 1x6 Core I7 with 16 GB RAM and GTX 660ti 1x4 Core I7 with GTX 780M 8G RAM
crashes where reported under WIn 7, Win8 Win 10

As already written IMHO the Indigo plugin was just a marketing move from RL to gain some time working on PBR. The problem is people like you have invested real money on it and now are unable to use it.

Well, at least it would be fair to give a statement, that they won't continue down that route and to be patient until PBR is out. But this is really annoying. I spent roughly 600USD on Licenses for Indigo and a couple of thousand USD for 4 Machines for a little renderfarm. If I would know, what the longterm strategy is, I could sell the machines, assuming Iclone PBR will be rendering on one machine and also try to get rid of my 5 Indigo Licenses....

@sbaerman. try switching to quickview mode before exporting and export no more than 900 iclone frames or less, so if your animation is at @30fps thats 450 frames.. Even though you have 32gb of ram, Iclone will eat that up during export and crash if you're trying to export more frames than 900.

I think what the OP - and other Indigo plugin customers or potential customers like me - want to hear it's not how to limit their creative activities using a crippled paid piece of sw, but an official statement this will be bugfixed. From what it's reported appear this is not the case, and if I will be in their pants I will start reading the purchase EULA and conditions to receive a refund. For sure I will not purchase this plugin as far is not bugfixed.

@TheOldBuffer
thanks for the hints, I will definetely try to use different viewer. But let's be precise on the numbers of frames you export with the crashing plugin: it depends on how "heavy" the scene is. One character in front of a black background is not an issue, but as soon as you enter more than one avatar, trees etc. the more easy it crashes. The 900 frames you are hinting at is maybe based on your experience, mine is approx. 120 for heavier scenes. And here is the problem. The tool crashes randomly. And I can not do try and error, therefore my time is to valuable. I don't mind to be the beta-tester in case, something is going forward with the plugin but that seems not to be the case.
I have made a couple of suggestion of how a workaround could look like. Also I am fine if Reallusion steps away from fixing the plugin as PBR will get us a better solution -fine- What is not acceptable to me is the "non-communication". As a great company you should be able to stand in for the decisions you take.

IMHO a non communication it's a communication itself. Also my though is a working plugin will generate an unwanted competitor with upcoming PBR release, that for sure will be not for free. Even if the results I've seen with iClone + Indigo are far away from what Indigo is capable of, they will be probably always better than the initial PBR (i.e. there will be any global illumination?), creating less push to upgrade. On the contrary a plugin allowing in fact only stills...
